Raiders vs. Dragons Predictions
—
Best Bet
The Raiders are the form team in the NRL, and they have an excellent record against the Dragons. They have a 25-13-1 record against St George, including a 26-24 win last year.
Canberra has improved over the course of a year, and although the Dragons aren’t a bad team, without Valentine Holmes, they could struggle to keep up with the red-hot Raiders, who only lose one player to State of Origin.
Trusting the Dragons to keep a game close is tough, and there is much more market confidence with the Raiders. They are beating most of the best teams in the competition, and we can’t see the Dragons standing in their way.
The –10.5 line is close, but it’s best to back the Raiders at home.

Same Game Multi
Jed Stuart has been good since breaking into the top team, and he has impressed father and coach Ricky Stuart. He has tries in each of his two games, and there has been good money for him to score another try on Saturday.
He’s a $1.61 chance to score, which is shorter than Kaeo Weekes, who scored an overdue try last week. That could spark him into action, and against a weakened Dragons team, he should sneak through the defence to score.
We like under 49.5 points based on our predictions of the Dragons struggling to score. The Raiders have a solid defence, and they should protect their line well enough to limit the Dragons to around 14-16 points.

Best Value Bet
It would be good to see Stuart score the opening try of the game, which would get the crowd firing in support of their local player.
Stuart has shown good skills since graduating to the NRL level on a fulltime basis, and he could be rewarded with the opening try. Punters get $8, and those odds are worth including in NRL value picks this week.
