Roosters vs. Raiders Predictions
—
Best Bet
The Raiders showed their toughness when coming from behind to beat the Warriors last week in dire conditions, and they are a real premiership threat this season.
They won the most recent meeting against the Roosters, winning 14-12 in 2024, and although they are 17-29 overall against the Roosters, they’re bridging the gap. We’re picking that gap to shorten on Sunday night in what could be an epic game.
There isn’t much between them based on form, but the Raiders have won four of their last five games, and the only loss came to the Bulldogs when they led 20-0 at halftime. Ricky Stuart got his team fired up following that effort, so they’re worth following.
It’s a season-defining game, and with the Roosters being an inconsistent team, the Raiders could take advantage.

Same Game Multi
Hudson Young didn’t make much of an impact with limited State of Origin minutes, so he should be fired up and ready to go on Sunday. Young has a try in each of his last two games, and he has a knack of finding the line.
Punters get $2.40 odds for Young to score, which are longer than that for Mark Nawaqanitawase, who has been in grand try scoring form. He has six tries from his last four games, and he’s one of the most-improved players in 2025.
We’re not surprised by the $1.86 odds for the Roosters winger, who should score another try.
The over 46.5 line is also worth including in same game multi picks. They could go back and forth throughout the game, but the Raiders are likely to muscle up on defence and close out the Roosters late.

Best Value Bet
Zac Hosking has three tries from his last five games, and although he’s not a noted try scorer, he’s loving life this year.
He didn’t score against the Warriors last week, but the conditions were dreadful, so we’re not holding that against him.
He should get plenty of opportunity to score against a Roosters team whose defence has been suspect at times.
