Roosters vs. Wests Tigers Predictions
—
Best Bet
Backing the Tigers has proven expensive for punters this year, and despite there being some confidence in early betting markets, reality has set in now.
They have slipped to 14th on the ladder, and coming up against the Roosters on Sunday won’t help their chances, hence the big odds to win. We’re backing the Roosters –12.5, and although they need to win by more than two converted tries, they have enough ammo despite their Origin players being out.
They still have the likes of James Tedesco and Daniel Tupou, so there are points to be scored, and the Tigers without their best players aren’t good enough to compete with most teams.

Same Game Multi
We’re going with Daniel Tupou and Mark Nawaqanitawase to score tries for the Roosters, and punters get value odds for Nawaqanitawase.
He has six tries from his last five games, and he has been the find of the year for the Roosters. He scored a double last week, and against a Tigers team capable of leaking points in quick fashion, he could have a field day on Sunday.
Tupou is another good bet at $1.53. He has the height advantage over most NRL wingers, and he’ll likely score a try through the air. He’s dangerous, and with the Tigers wingers being on the shorter side, he should take advantage.
We predict the Tigers scoring only 12-14 points, so under 48.5 points is the logical play.

Best Value Bet
For someone scoring tries for fun, we’re surprised to see Nawaqanitawase on the fourth line of betting for first try scorer odds.
He is loving life for the Roosters, and he’s a strong runner close to the line. We like that with our first try scorer picks, and the $9.50 odds are overly generous.
