Women’s Rugby Sevens Best Bet – New Zealand

It comes as no surprise to see New Zealand at $1.90 to win after dominating the circuit this year.

They are the best women’s rugby sevens team, and although we would have liked a much better price, we’re not leaving them out of our picks.

We believe they only need to get past Australia and France to win gold, but given their form, they are the ones to beat.

Rugby sevens always comes down to who plays best on the day, and because the games are so short, it can depend on one single play. However, New Zealand is excellent at controlling the pace, and that works in their favour.

Women’s Rugby Sevens Best Value – France

We considered backing Australia, as they are the second-best team. However, at $2.62, there is no value with the Australians.

There is much better value with host nation France, who could win the rugby sevens gold medal double.

France is a $6.00 third favourite to win gold in Paris, and although they haven’t been as many consistent results up as New Zealand and Australia, they have been competitive.

Anything can happen in this tournament, and with the home crowd behind them, they should be in the hunt for the gold medal in the first week of the Olympics.
