All Blacks vs Fiji Tips

Saturday 20/7/24

12:30pm All Blacks vs Fiji @ Snapdragon Stadium

Playing in the US is becoming more popular with the All Blacks, who famously lost to Ireland 40-29 in 2016.

There is a tendency to take the game lightly and treat the trip as a holiday. However, knowing how physical Fiji plays, New Zealand can’t take this game lightly.

The All Blacks are 2-0 under new coach Scott Robertson, with both wins coming against England. They were torrid affairs, winning both games narrowly and not playing up to their best ability.

However, playing against Fiji will be much easier, and that’s not taking anything away from the island nation, who is improving in the 15-a-side game.

Fiji, best known for its sevens exploits, and it will be tough to beat at the 2024 Olympic Games, has improved at the global game.

Their Super Rugby team did well in 2024, and on the back of the success of the Drua, the national team could find some success.

Bookmakers have the All Blacks at $1.06, and we don’t expect them to lose, but the –25.5 line is where most of the action will come.

We believe Fiji will be up for this game more than the All Blacks. Fiji is good enough to play physical and keep the score close, so getting 25.5 points is worth snapping up.

They just need to play exciting rugby, and that could scare the All Blacks. In front of an American crowd, expect the bigger Fijian players to show how physical rugby is compared to American Football.

Betting tip: Fiji +25.5 @ $1.90

All Blacks vs Fiji Exotic Tips

The total points are set at 60.5, which is about as high as you’ll ever see a rugby betting line.

The sportsbook expects a high-scoring game, and it’s tough to disagree. Past All Blacks’ games in the US have been high scoring affairs, and it should be exciting running rugby.

We think Fiji has around 25 points in them, and the All Blacks could score around 45, which is enough to see the total go over the mark.

Include over 60.5 points in your rugby multis this weekend.

We’re also backing Fiji to keep it close in the first half. They are a +12.5 underdog in the first 40 minutes, and it could be a tight contest to open up.

Fiji usually gets tired in the second half and the floodgates could open, but they should match the All Blacks in the opening stages.

Our final All Black vs Fiji exotic tip is Caleb Clarke to score a try. He wasn’t used against England, but he should get every chance to cross the line for a try.

The odds won’t be big, but he’s another good multi inclusion.

Betting tip: Over 60.5 points @ $1.90
