Only 8 teams remain in the hunt at Euro 2024 and with some big names having bit the dust and the tournament looks set to come to a fascinating climax. With the likes of Italy and Belgium having departed the competition and with other big names such as France, Portugal and England yet to hit their stride, it feels as if any of the 8 remaining teams in the competition could go all the way.

Arguably the biggest game of the quarter finals sees Spain take on Germany, two sides that are being tipped to go all the way and lift the Euro 2024 trophy but of course, something has to give at this stage. With big wins over the likes of Italy, Croatia and Georgia, Spain have been propelled to tournament favourites and nobody is keen to go up against them currently. Host nation Germany have also been in splendid form at Euro 2024 and with a whole nation behind them, who knows how far they can go. This should be a fantastic game, which could most certainly go either way but perhaps Germany could get the job done in front of their home fans.

Another absolute humdinger is on the cards, with Portugal taking on France for a spot in the semi-finals. Portugal made very hard work of Slovenia, with Cristiano Ronaldo in particular struggling to find his best form for his host nation but they managed to get the job done on penalties. France have also huffed and puffed at this tournament, with a late own goal enough to see them beat Belgium and they know that they will need to improve if they are to overcome Portugal here. Calling this one is very tough, with very little to split these two sides on paper but France do tend to know how to get over the line and they could just about prevail here.

England needed some divine inspiration from Jude Bellingham, who bagged a spectacular late winner against Slovakia in the last 16 and they now need to find a way to start fulfilling their potential against Switzerland. The Swiss were excellent in beating Italy and they have snuck under the radar very impressively as the tournament has progressed and they will not fear this assignment against a floundering England side. This should be a very tough one to call, with England having played nowhere near their best football at this tournament but they could come alive here and sneak over the line again.

Two sides who have potentially snuck under the radar a little bit at Euro 2024 meet here, as the Netherlands take on Turkiye. For the Dutch, they have started to find their groove in recent games, and they thrashed Romania impressively in the last 16, a result that has certainly made the rest of the tournament stand up and take notice. Turkiye saw off well-fancied Austria in the last round and it seems that their dream run at Euro 2024 will never end. That said, the Netherlands know that they have a great opportunity to kick on here and they should have enough about them to see of Turkiye here.
