We have Australian Open Tennis picks and predictions for Day 2 action on Monday, which features several of the top-seeded players at Melbourne Tennis Park.
Australian Open Day 2 Tips & Predictions

Best Bet
Ugo Humbert takes on the highly touted Ben Shelton, but after Shelton was dismantled by a lower-seeded player in Auckland, we’re going with Humbert to keep it close against the American.
Humbert was one of the rising stars of the tennis world not too long ago, and although his career hasn’t quite hit those heights, he’s good enough to cover the +2.5-game spread against Shelton, who looked unfit across the Tasman.
It’s never a good sign when Americans don’t look fit and ready for the Australian Open, so back Humbert to cover.

Next Best
Punters get tremendous odds for Sebastian Baez to beat Giovanni Perricard. Baez comes off a big tournament in Auckland, where he made it all the way to the final, and he defeated Ben Shelton on the way there.
He defeated three consecutive Americans on his way to the final, where he lost to Jakub Mensik, and he didn’t lose any admirers with that performance.
Perricard also played in Auckland, where he was rolled by Mensik in the quarters. He didn’t have his usual big serve, and if his serve lets him down, Baez will be there to strike as a seven-time winner on the ATP Tour.

We expect a big Australian Open from Felix Auger-Aliassime, and he could get past his first-round opponent in straight sets.
He faces Nuno Borges, who doesn’t have the same level of experience as the Canadian, and although winning 3-0 isn’t easy at the top level, he is clearly good enough to make the second round without much fuss.
Punters get $2.55, which is an excellent price for the former top 10 player, who isn’t far off producing his best. He could have a massive bounce back year in 2026, so watch him with interest.

Value Bet
The odds might be only $1.84, but it’s a value bet. Iva Jovic is a rising star of the tennis world, and she has already made her mark with a couple of WTA Tour wins.
Her play in preparation for the 2026 Australian Open, in both singles and doubles, has been outstanding, and she could be a household name in the next couple of years.
The future is bright for the American 18-year-old, who should roll through Katie Volynets in straight sets. Include her in Australian Open multi bets at the current odds before she firms closer to game time.
