ATP Queens London Tips & Predictions
—
ATP Queens London Best Bet – Carlos Alcaraz
It’s tough to bet against the 2024 French Open champion, who is now preparing for the grass season.
The defending Queens and Wimbledon champion loves playing on grass, and we think he’s better on that surface than clay, despite being Spanish and having just won at Roland Garros.
The world number two is the clear $2.10 favourite to win this week, and we’re not surprised by those odds.
If he’s not too tired from the French Open, he should beat every player in this field comfortably.
Throughout the tournament, we expect his odds to firm to around $1.60, so it’s best to take the value odds available now.
Bet: Carlos Alcaraz @ $2.10
ATP Queens London Best Value – Holger Rune
We think the tide has turned for Holger Rune, who played well at the French Open.
The Danish 21-year-old lost to Alex Zverev in the fourth round, but that form was franked by Zverev losing to Alcaraz in five sets in the final.
He has matured nicely this year, and he was always going to improve with more tournaments under his belt.
We’re surprised by his odds of $13.00. We priced him around $8.50, so we’re happy to include him in selections.
He’s a player who could make his way into the top five in the world, and he just needs some confidence and results to go his way.
That could happen this week in London.
Bet: Holger Rune @ $13.00
ATP Queens London Next Best – Alex de Minaur
The Australian isn’t the most consistent player on the ATP Tour, but he finished runner-up in this event last year.
That should give him plenty of confidence ahead of the tournament, and punters get $8.00 for the 25-year-old from Sydney.
He comes off a tournament win at Hertogenbosch, and although the field wasn’t great, a win is a win for de Minaur.
It should get his confidence levels back up, and he should feel confident of turning the tables of Alcaraz if he plays his best tennis.
He’s the only other player at single-figure odds, so expectations are high.
Bet: Alex de Minaur @ $8.00
ATP Queens London Best Roughie – Tommy Paul
American Tommy Paul is a $23.00 chance to win the Queens tournament, and he’s worth including in selections.
The 27-year-old lost in the quarterfinals last week to fellow American Sam Korda, but he’s much better than that.
He’s a highly-rated Amercian player with a 2023 Australian Open semifinal appearance on his record, and that can’t be overlooked.
If the favourites run into trouble, Paul could be the one at odds to cause an upset.
Bet: Tommy Paul @ $23.00
