Geelong vs. Port Adelaide Predictions

Best Bet
Backing Port Adelaide with a +48.5 start isn’t easy after they were hammered 133-35 by Adelaide last week. However, they are good enough to keep it close against a Geelong team that is due a poor performance.
After beating St Kilda and North Melbourne with ease, Geelong could find this game much harder. Port Adelaide has enough scoring power to stay in the hunt, especially if Mitch Georgiades plays better than he did last week.
Getting a +48.5 start is big for any team, let alone one sitting in 11th on the AFL ladder. We’re happy to stick with the Power, who are likely to lose, but they should be within around 30 points at the final hooter.

Same Game Multi
Georgiades had only one goal last week, which was a big step down from his usual form. He kicked 14 goals in his previous four games, and that’s the Georgiades we hope turns up on Sunday against Geelong.
Punters get $2 for him to score 2+ goals, which is an excellent price, so we can’t leave him out of our AFL SGM picks. We also can’t leave out Tyson Stengle 2+ goals, after scoring consecutive 2+ goal games against St Kilda and North Melbourne.
It’s usually a high-scoring contest between these teams, and we only need Port Adelaide to turn up with something for the over to cash.

The Power could come out with something to prove, and although winning the game outright is a stretch, they could win the first quarter.
AFL odds have them at $3.75 to take a lead into the second quarter, which is a risk worth taking given the odds.
