North Melbourne vs. Carlton Predictions
—
Best Bet
Carlton 1-39 @ $2.18
Winning hasn’t come easy for North Melbourne and Carlton, with just two wins between them in 2025. Carlton defeated West Coast 121-50 last week, and North Melbourne lost 141-89, but this game could be a lot tighter.
We’re picking Carlton to win outright at $1.40, but there is much better value with the 1-39 option at $2.18. In their most recent meeting, Carlton won 107-88, and the Blues have won between 1-39 points in two of their last three meetings.
We can’t see the Kangaroos pulling off an upset win. Their only win this season came against a terrible Melbourne team, but they have scored totals of only 78, 52, and 89 points since. To keep this game close, their offence will need to improve.
Same Game Multi
Carlton H2H, Paul Curtis 2+ Goals, Patrick Cripps 30+ Disposals, Total Match Points Over 180.5 @ $8.50
We’re taking the shorter odds for Carlton to win outright at $1.40. They are the better team than North Melbourne, so they should prevail at the short odds.
Paul Curtis has been scoring goals for the Kangaroos, and punters get $1.97 for him to score 2+ goals. He has 12 goals from his last five games, including two goals last week, so he’s a scoring threat behind teammate Nick Larkey, who was too short at $1.35 to include in North Melbourne vs Carlton picks.
It should be a big game for Patrick Cripps, who has had over 30 disposals this year. His last two games have been quiet, but he gets a good opportunity to rack up big numbers against a relatively poor Kangaroos midfield.
Over 180.5 is also included in our same game multi. It should be a higher scoring contest than most predict.
Best Value Bet
Corey Durdin First Goal Scorer @ $13.00
Corey Durdin had a big game against West Coast, scoring four goals. He could use that momentum to kick the first goal on Friday, and punters get big odds.
Backing a first scorer option always comes with risk, but the $13 odds are too juicy to overlook. He could get clear in the 50 and snap one through the posts to get Carlton off to the perfect start.
