North Melbourne vs. Richmond Predictions

Best Bet

North Melbourne –10.5 @ $1.90

We wouldn’t usually recommend backing North Melbourne as a –10.5 favourite, but it should have the measure of the struggling Richmond Tigers.

Richmond had been playing well when beating Essendon and West Coast in consecutive games, but after three consecutive losses, the Tigers might be left licking their wounds, especially if they’re beaten by the Kangaroos.

North Melbourne is suffering a losing streak as well, but it defeated Richmond earlier this year, and it should have the edge over Richmond again. There is more scoring power with the Kangaroos, which makes a big difference when playing teams near the bottom of the AFL ladder.

Same Game Multi

North Melbourne –10.5, Cameron Zurhaar 2+ Goals, Cooper Harvey 2+ Goals, Total Match Points Under 166.5 @ $10.25

We came up empty with Cameron Zuhaar last week, with the Kangaroos forward failing to score. However, we’re sticking with him against Richmond.

Zurhaar had scored five goals from his previous two games, and he’s not facing GWS this week, so he should get a much better chance to kick goals. Punters get $1.57 to include in AFL same game multi picks, which is good to boost payouts.

Cooper Harvey has eight goals from his last four games, so he’s also worth including at $2.35. He kicked a double last week, and we expect him to keep that run going against a struggling Richmond defence.

They scored 152 points in the first meeting this year, so under 166.5 is a good line.

Best Value Bet

North Melbourne 40+ @ $4.25

We feel that North Melbourne can score a statement win on Sunday, and winning by 40+ points is within their capabilities.

It requires Richmond to play poorly, but that’s a high chance of happening, and the Kangaroos are a decent team when they play well.

Getting $4.25 makes them a worthwhile value bet.
