It was Newcastle who clinched the first silverware of the 2024/25 campaign, overcoming Liverpool in a pulsating Carabao Cup final at Wembley, with attention now turning to the cut and thrust of the Premier League once again. Solace for Liverpool can be found in the fact that the reds have a seemingly unassailable lead in the Premier League title race and Arne Slot’s men will be eager to knuckle down for the remainder of the campaign. Down at the bottom of the pack, Leicester City, Southampton and Ipswich Town look to be readying for a swift return to the Championship.

EPL Week 30 Predictions
Wolves vs West Ham United – Molyneux
Wolves ($2.40)
West Ham United ($3.10)
Draw ($3.35)
Two sides looking to finish the campaign strongly meet in the West Midlands, as Wolves take on West Ham. Wanderers are showing signs of improvement under Vitor Pereira, with talk of relegation seemingly ended at Molyneux this term. West Ham meanwhile haven’t seen the transformative impact many people expected since Graham Potter took over and their league standing of 15th is reflective of their quiet campaign. This is a tough one to call but home advantage could see Wolves sneak over the line.
Betting tip: Wolves to win the match ($2.40)
Wolves to win 2-1
Arsenal vs Fulham – Emirates Stadium
Arsenal ($1.45)
Fulham ($8.50)
Draw ($4.60)
A London derby of sorts here pits Arsenal against Fulham, with the Gunners needing to win every game and hope for some serious slip ups, if they are to catch Liverpool. The Champions League has become the priority for Arsenal this season, but they remain 2nd in the table and are firm favourites here. Fulham are in the hunt for a European place this season, ticking along very well under Marco Silva and they should play without fear here. This won’t be an easy one for Arsenal, but they should have enough to prevail at home.
Betting tip: Arsenal to win the match ($1.45)
Arsenal to win 2-1
Nottingham Forest vs Manchester United – City Ground
Nottingham Forest ($2.20)
Manchester United ($3.35)
Draw ($3.60)
Third placed Nottingham Forest will be looking to keep their Champions League bid on track, as they take on Manchester United at the City Ground. Forest have been one of the stories of the season and how they would love to see it over the line and clinch a place amongst the European elite. Manchester United are showing a new found resilience under Ruben Amorim of late, with the Europa League their priority now for the season. Forest start as favourites for this one but United are slowly improving and they could sneak a point at the City Ground here.
Betting tip: The match to finish as a draw ($3.60)
1-1 Draw
Southampton vs Crystal Palace – St Mary’s Stadium
Southampton ($5.50)
Crystal Palace ($1.70)
Draw ($4.10)
Lowly Southampton have endured a campaign to forget, and they will be looking to salvage a modicum of pride here against Crystal Palace. The Saints have really struggled to come to terms with the rigours of the top flight this season and they will be returning to the Championship at the first time of asking. Palace meanwhile are improving under Oliver Glasner in the second half of the campaign, as they did last season, and they should be up for this challenge on their travels. Palace play some good stuff on the road, and they should pick up a comfortable away win here.
Betting tip: Crystal Palace to win the match ($1.70)
Crystal Palace to win 3-1
Bournemouth vs Ipswich Town – Vitality Stadium
Bournemouth ($1.40)
Ipswich Town ($8.50)
Draw ($5.40)
Top 4 chasing Bournemouth know they can’t afford too many more slip ups, as they take on Ipswich Town at the Vitality Stadium. The Cherries are in danger of running out of gas this season, but they also have the FA Cup to worry about this week and it has been a super campaign for them, regardless of whether they can secure European football or not. Ipswich meanwhile have found the Premier League tough going, particularly in recent weeks and they have been shipping far too many goals. This should be one-way traffic, with Bournemouth ready to pick up three important points.
Betting tip: Bournemouth to win the match ($1.40)
Bournemouth to win 3-1
Newcastle United vs Brentford – St James’s Park
Newcastle United ($1.73)
Brentford ($4.40)
Draw ($4.75)
A carnival atmosphere looks to be on the agenda here in the North East, as Newcastle, fresh off their Carabao Cup triumph, take on Brentford. Toon have a place in the top 4 to play for this season and they know that they need to keep picking up Premier League points. Brentford meanwhile won well at Bournemouth last time out and as ever, are finishing very strongly under Thomas Frank. This will be a good one for the neutral, with Newcastle perhaps best placed to pick up all three points.
Betting tip: Newcastle United to win the match ($1.73)
Newcastle United to win 2-1
Manchester City vs Leicester City – Etihad Stadium
Manchester City ($1.18)
Leicester City ($16.00)
Draw ($8.50)
Manchester City have to get their house in order if they are to be playing Champions League football next season and that push starts here against Leicester City. The blues have been seriously struggling for form and consistency this season, but a top 4 finish is of course a minimum requirement for a side of their stature. Leicester meanwhile look consigned to a place back in the Championship, following a difficult campaign but this is a free hit for them in Manchester. Neither side is in good form, but Manchester City should sneak over the line in this one.
Betting tip: Manchester City to win the match ($1.18)
Manchester City to win 2-1
Brighton vs Aston Villa – AMEX Stadium
Brighton ($2.05)
Aston Villa ($3.50)
Draw ($4.00)
The battle to crack the top 5 extends down to the south coast, with Brighton and Aston Villa set to meet at the AMEX. Both sides have FA Cup commitments to manage, with Villa also in the Champions League and their squads are being tested to the max. Brighton have been in good form of late, scoring plenty of goals and they are strong at home, with Villa a threat in any game they play. This should be a good one, with the draw perhaps the most plausible outcome.
Betting tip: The match to finish as a draw ($4.00)
1-1 Draw
Liverpool vs Everton – Anfield
Liverpool ($1.40)
Everton ($9.00)
Draw ($5.10)
The Merseyside derby is always box office viewing and Liverpool and Everton clash, in what should be a good one at Anfield. Liverpool only have the Premier League to push on with this season and with some players potentially leaving the club at the end of the season, it promises to be a summer of change. Everton meanwhile are revitalised under David Moyes and how they would love to spoil any sort of party here at Anfield. Liverpool however should take another step towards the title here.
Betting tip: Liverpool to win the match ($1.40)
Liverpool to win 2-1
Chelsea vs Tottenham – Stamford Bridge
Chelsea ($1.67)
Tottenham ($4.70)
Draw ($4.70)
Goals should be on the agenda at Stamford Bridge, as Chelsea and Tottenham look set to do battle. Chelsea have dropped off the pace in the title race this season but are continuing to make strides under Enzo Maresca. Tottenham meanwhile are enjoying a mini revival under Ange Postecoglou, with the Europa League their main hope for the season. Neither side is in particularly good nick, with defensive issues present in both sides and this could be a chaotic one, which should suit Chelsea more than Spurs.
Betting tip: Chelsea to win the match ($1.67)
Chelsea to win 3-2
