Sandown Park

Race 2. (19:13) Laurels Classic Heat 2 (515m)
#4 – Here Comes Milli @ $2
Here Comes Milli comes off two unlucky runs at Sandown Park, but her form prior was much better.
The one-year-old daughter of Bernardo is an eight-time winner from 17 starts, including four wins at the track and distance.
We’re happy with the even-money price given the quality of this field.
Race 3. (19:37) Laurels Classic Heat 3 (515m)
#1 – I’m a Mustang @ $1.85
I’m a Mustang was far too good for them last time out, which is the best form guide for this race.
The daughter of Tommy Shelby won by 1.75 lengths in a slick time of 29.44, and a repeat of that is easily good enough.
Getting the inside trap adds to her appeal.
Race 4. (19:55) Laurels Classic Heat 4 (515m)
#8 – Bluebell Colour @ $17
Bluebell Colour runs at big odds and we can’t turn them down.
The two-year-old hasn’t done much wrong throughout her career with seven starts for two wins and four placings.
She has yet to run here but consider her at the price.
Race 7. (21:04) Congratulations Palawa King (515m)
#2 – Feather Nest
Feather Nest is always around the mark with 19 starts for eight wins and five placings.
The two-year-old has yet to fire in two starts at the track and distance, but she hasn’t been getting kind box draws.
Trap two should be ideal, and she’s a nice type in the making.

Hobart

Race 4. (20:22) Hobart Thousand Heat (461m)
#4 – Raider’s Guide @ $2.10
Raider’s Guide is a model of consistency with 18 wins from 41 starts, including four of his last five starts.
The two-year-old son of Zambora Brockie is a six-time winner at the track and distance, and he was only run down late last start.
We’re not surprised by the shortening odds, so include him in selections.
Race 5. (20:43) Hobart Thousand Heat (461m)
#4 – Rojo Diamond @ $2.30
Rojo Diamond comes off back-to-back wins and he’s clearly back to his best form.
The three-year-old son of Fabregas is a 36-time winner overall, so he’s one of the more consistent types going around.
19 of those wins have come at the track and distance, so put him on top.
Race 6. (21:07) Hobart Thousand Heat (461m)
#1 – Unleash Collinda @ $2.90
Unleash Collinda owns 39 wins and 16 placings from 64 starts, and he only needs to handle Hobart for the first time.
The three-year-old son of Beast Unleashed ran third at Shepperton last time out, but getting the inside trap could see him win.
$2.90 is a fair price for the favourite.
Race 8. (21:53) Hobart Thousand Heat (461m)
#4 – Shima Shadow @ $2
Shima Shadow is a classy type with 15 wins to his name, and he could add another on Thursday.
The two-year-old won at Geelong nicely two starts back before running third at Sandown, which is excellent form.
With luck from the trap, he should be winning.
