The Meadows greyhound tips

Race 2. (18:52) Cookes Electrical and Air Conditioning (525m)
#1 – Varsity Bale
Varsity Bale turned his form around when scoring at Geelong last time out, which is a tidy form guide.
The one-year-old owns a win and three placings from five starts, and he could put back-to-back wins together.
Jumping off the inside trap is ideal, so put him on top.
Race 4. (19:35) KCR Pet Transport (525m)
#1 – Buchan
Buchan is another dog who could use the inside trap to jump well and kick clear.
The two-year-old by Fernando Bale has yet to fire in two starts at the track and distance, but he owns four wins from 15 starts.
He’s fast enough to handle this field on Saturday.
Race 6. (20:18) Houdini Boy @ Stud (600m)
#8 – Earletta Bale
Earletta Bale has experience on her side, and since rising in distance, her best form has returned.
She comes off three consecutive wins, including a win at the track and distance last time out by 2.75 lengths.
We fancy her chances of searching wide and kicking clear down the back straight.
Race 8. (21:00) Melbournegreyhounds (525m)
#2 – Yachi Bale
Yachi Bale is one of the better runners at the meeting, having posted 14 wins and over $790,000 in stakes.
The three-year-old owns five wins at the track and distance, and he was back to his best with a win at The Meadows last start.
He’s well worth sticking with.

Race 3. (18:17) MMS Access (390m)
#3 – Soda Duke
Soda Duke showed good speed throughout on debut, scoring by 3.75 lengths.
It was a good form guide for his future, and he has plenty of strength as a two-year-old.
Jumping from trap three means he needs to cross the inside dogs, but he has enough trap speed to do so.
Race 5. (18:55) GRV Vicbred Final (390m)
#2 – Our Titan
Our Titan is unbeaten after two starts, including a win at the track and distance last time out.
The one-year-old son of Aussie Infared scored by 2.25 lengths, and his time was quick enough to suggest he can repeat the effort.
Look for a betting push on race night.
Race 7. (19:38) Community Sports Club Challenge (450m)
#7 – Pepper Rush
Form is with Pepper Rush, who won consecutive races earlier this preparation before adding two placings.
The two-year-old son of Fernando Bale is a nine-time winner overall, including a win at the track and distance earlier in his career.
We’re happy to include him in selections.
Race 10. (20:41) Shepparton Cup (450m)
#1 – Explicit @ $1.80
He’s the worthy favourite for the feature race of the night, and we’re taking the short odds.
The two-year-old owns 13 wins and three placings from 17 starts, so he doesn’t know how to run a bad race.
He’s unbeaten in two starts at the track and distance, and getting the inside trap adds to his appeal.
