Ascot horse racing tips
—
Race 1. (15:29) Magic Millions Plate (1000m)
#3 – Madhi Girl
Madhi Girl didn’t fire on debut at Ascot as the favourite, but we’re expecting a much better form guide.
The two-year-old filly by Winning Rupert looked good when winning two trials prior to that, so something close to that form is good enough.
Having William Pike in the saddle helps.
Race 2. (16:06) Amelia Park Plate (1100m)
#2 – Final Siren
Final Siren is unbeaten after three starts, including a win at Ascot last time out.
The three-year-old son of I’m All the Talk won by 1.3 lengths, and he’s yet to face defeat, so that is ideal form.
Look for a betting push on race day.
Race 3. (16:46) Tabtouch Westspeed (1000m)
#6 – Bisector
Bisector is improving with every run this preparation, including a second placing at Pinjarra last time out.
The four-year-old mare by Demerit owns two wins and five placings from 12 starts, and she owns a win at Ascot.
We’re happy to include her in our selections.
Race 4. (17:26) Peters Investments BM72 (1000m)
#8 – Harmika
Harmika turned consistent form into winning form at Ascot with her last two wins.
The five-year-old mare by Rogano owns four wins and five placings from 11 starts, so the record stands out.
Getting an inside draw adds to her appeal, so include here.
Race 5. (18:05) Reliable Asset Maintenance BM66 (2200m)
#3 – I Love Your Smile
I Love Your Smile is already a two-time winner this preparation, so the form checks out.
The four-year-old daughter of Sebring comes off a win at Ascot, which was her first good performance on the track.
Punters could get each-way odds on race day.
Race 6. (18:40) Celebration of Life Day BM84 (1500m)
#9 – Upper Limits
Upper Limits has yet to win from seven starts at Ascot, but he has been awfully close with six placings.
The four-year-old gelding by Exosphere owns two wins and 11 placings from 14 starts, which is a good form guide.
Carrying 55.5kg is ideal, so we’re happy to include him.
Race 7. (19:15) Studco 1MW (1200m)
#4 – Flash Max
Flash Max is unbeaten in three starts, all coming at Belmont and Pinjarra, and that form stacks up nicely.
The four-year-old son of Awesome Rock looks to hit the ground running this preparation, and he only needs luck from the wide draw.
Look for a betting push on race day.
Race 8. (19:50) Mrs Mac’s 1MW (1600m)
#7 – Speak to Me
Speak to Me has looked good throughout the preparation with two wins, and having Pike riding is ideal.
The son of God Has Spoken won well two back at Bunbury before placing at Ascot, which is an ideal form guide.
He only needs luck from the wide draw.
Race 9. (20:30) MacMahon BM66 (1400m)
#2 – Metallon
Metallon turned his form around when placing at Ascot last start, which should be a nice form guide.
The five-year-old son of Oratorio owns four wins at Ascot, so he’s a prolific winner at the track.
His turn-of-foot is good enough to test this field, so put him on top.
