Race 1. (13:59) Racing Award Closes BM66 (2200m)
#7 – The Dominican
The Dominican turned his form around with a win at Northam in heavy conditions and he gets favourable conditions again.
He won by a length, and with William Pike in the saddle this time around, it only helps his chances of winning.
Look for a betting push on race day.
Race 2. (14:34) Free Entry to Belmont Park (1200m)
#8 – Princess Lacillia
Princess Lacillia was impressive when winning on debut by 1.8 lengths, and we fancy her chances of winning again.
The two-year-old daughter of Universal Ruler paid $2.05 on that occasion, so we don’t expect much better than that on Saturday.
It’s another good ride for Pike.
Race 3. (15:10) Tabtouch Westspeed (1200m)
#3 – Ultimate Command
Ultimate Command is a two-time winner this preparation and we’re happy to include her in selections again.
The four-year-old mare is a four-time winner overall, but two of her wins have come at Belmont, so the track experience helps.
Look for each-way odds on race day.
Race 4. (15:49) Amelia Park BM61 (1000m)
#5 – Devine Belief
Devine Belief didn’t fire at Belmont last time out but she looked much better when winning consecutive races at Ascot and Belmont.
The three-year-old filly won by a half-length against a tidy field two back, so anything close to that effort would be good enough.
Look for a more positive ride this time around.
Race 5. (16:29) Have You Got the Touch BM72 (1600m)
#5 – Knot Secret
Knot Secret is getting close to posting another win after consecutive second placings, so we’re happy to stick with him.
The four-year-old son of So Secret owns a win and six placings at Belmont, which is an impressive record.
Getting the inside draw adds to his appeal.
Race 6. (17:05) Schweppes 1MW (1300m)
#5 – Extra Secret
Extra Secret is never too far away from the prize, and with three wins and five placings, she’s worth backing.
It’s another good ride for Pike, who could have a big day at Belmont, and Extra Secret looks like one of his better chances.
Look for a betting push on race day.
Race 7. (17:42) All Flags Signs & Banners 1MW (1600m)
#2 – Black Spirit
Black Spirit is already a three-time winner this preparation and a fourth could be on the cards.
The four-year-old mare by Blackfriars owns two wins and three placings from five starts at Belmont, including a win and a placing over the distance.
2kg comes off her back and she has upside.
Race 8. (18:17) Waroa-Belmont Guineas (1600m)
#8 – Rusty Dreams @ $3.20
Rusty Dreams owns four wins and two placings from six starts, so there’s no reason why she can’t win again.
The talented filly finished close behind Vast Art last start, and she’s good enough to turn the tables at the lighter weight.
She only needs luck from the draw to win.
Race 9. (18:57) Peninsula Dining Room BM78 (1200m)
#3 – Snowdome
Snowdome has been in excellent form this preparation and the colt has experience under his belt.
He might be a three-year-old, but he owns six wins and six placings from 15 starts, so he has made a good run of it.
Look for a betting push on race day.
