Belmont horse racing tips
—
Race 1. (14:49) Amelia Park 1MW (1000m)
#3 – Madam Kisses
Madam Kisses ended last preparation with two wins and a placing, so she could fire up in a fresh state.
The five-year-old mare gets the services of William Pike in the saddle, which will likely drop her odds on race day.
She’s good enough to beat this field.
Race 2. (15:24) Tabtouch Platinum Handicap (1400m)
#4 – Collective
Collective owns a win and three second placings from seven starts, so she has plenty going in her favour.
The Neville Parnham-trained mare owns two second placings at Belmont, and it’s only a matter of time before she breaks through.
Look for each-way odds on race day.
Race 3. (15:59) Schweppes BM72 (1600m)
#6 – Sisu Warrior
Sisu Warrior doesn’t know how to run a bad race after posting three wins and six placings from 14 starts.
The four-year-old son of Gold Standard is a two-time winner at Belmont, and it’s another good ride for Pike.
Punters shouldn’t expect big odds.
Race 4. (16:39) Glenroy Chaff Plate (1000m)
#2 – Oscar’s Fortune
Oscar’s Fortune won well on debut at Belmont when scoring by two lengths, and that form should hold up well.
The three-year-old son of Rich Enuff gets all favours from the draw, and this race is there for the taking.
We’re happy to include him in our racing multis.
Race 5. (17:20) Western Racepix Handicap (1200m)
#7 – Set the Scene
The five-year-old comes off a win at Junction, and he could be good enough to handle the rise in class.
The five-year-old has yet to race at Belmont, but getting into the race with 55kg could be enough to see him win.
Look for each-way odds on race day.
Race 6. (17:55) Free Entry to Belmont Park 1MW (1600m)
#1 – Gold Friars
Gold Friars needed two runs back from a spell and it’s time for the son of Blackfriars to show his best.
The six-year-old is a past winner at Belmont, and getting 2kg off his back could make all the difference.
It’s a tough field, so punters should expect each-way odds.
Race 7. (18:35) Furphy Farnley Stakes (1400m)
#4 – Searchin’ Roc’s @ $3.90
Searchin’ Roc’s has the class advantage over this field, and she should enjoy running against this level of opposition.
The five-year-old mare by Awesome Rock is a four-time winner at Belmont, so it’s a track she loves running at.
$3.90 is a fair price from bookmakers.
Race 8. (19:15) Vale Alison Poletti BM66 (1300m)
#1 – Hint of Mint
Hint of Mint is already a three-time winner this preparation, so she’s good enough to win here.
The seven-year-old son of Delago Deluxe owns three wins at the track, and her class should take her a long way.
Anything above $3 is a good price.
