Doomben horse racing tips & form
—
Race 1. (12:38) Become a BRC Member Handicap (1350m)
#9 – Run Lucy Run @ $3.30
Run Lucy Run ran second on debut at Doomben, which is an excellent form guide.
The two-year-old filly by Divine Prophet has plenty of improvement to come, and she was only a half-length behind the winner.
We’re not surprised by the odds.
Race 2. (13:13) Stradbroke Season on Sale C1 (1350m)
#1 – Drialle @ $7.50
Drialle won well four back at Ipswich and his form since has been solid enough to consider.
The four-year-old gelding by Shalaa is only a one-time winner, but with five placings under his belt, he’s consistent.
Barrier 12 makes it tricky, however, we’re happy to take the value odds.
Race 3. (13:48) Cascade BM68 (1600m)
#3 – This’llbetheone @ $8.50
This’llbetheone is getting close to a win after placing at Ipswich, and we’re happy to stick with him.
The five-year-old gelding by Exceed and Excel has yet to fire in two starts at Doomben, but he’s better than that.
Getting 3kg off his back adds to his appeal.
Race 4. (14:23) Happy Easter from BRC BM78 (1600m)
#2 – Commodus @ $8.50
Commodus isn’t the most consistent type going around, but he’s a two-time winner this preparation.
The seven-year-old has experience on his side, and his last-start win at Doomben came by four lengths, so the speed is there.
He gets weight off his back and punters get value odds.
Race 5. (14:58) XXXX 3YO (1600m)
#2 – Transatlantic @ $1.65
Punters must take short odds for Transatlantic, but he’s a smart colt in the making.
The Tony Gollan-trained colt won by 3.3 lengths on this track last time out, and a repeat of that could be on the cards.
Include him in multi bets.
Race 6. (15:33) Drinkwise BM78 (2000m)
#2 – Red Top @ $7.00
Red Top was too good for them when winning at Gold Coast, so we’re happy to stick with him.
The four-year-old son of Top Echelon is a four-time winner from 25 starts, and he has done plenty of racing throughout his career.
With his confidence levels up, he could kick on with it.
Race 7. (16:08) Ladbrokes Racing Club Handicap (1200m)
#4 – Chinny Boom @ $1.90
Chinny Boom is a prolific eight-time winner from 13 starts, including last time out at Gold Coast.
She’s a seriously speedy type who has winning form at Doomben, and she could start at much shorter odds with bookmakers.
Take the value available now.
Race 8. (16:47) Gallopers Sports Club 0MW (1110m)
#17 – Majestic Boom @ $5.50
Looking to remain unbeaten is Majestic Boom, who won at Doomben and Eagle Farm.
The four-year-old won at $18 odds last time out, and punters get value each-way odds once again.
He has upside, and we’re happy to include him in our horse racing tips.
Race 9. (17:27) Sky Racing BM88 (1350m)
#1 – Eaglemont @ $6.00
Eaglemont has been in work for some time now, but he keeps running solid races.
The Dunn-trained seven-year-old is a six-time winner, including a win at Doomben two starts back against a solid field.
He needs luck from the draw, but his class could take him close.
Race 10. (18:08) Ladbrokes Yard Comments BM75 (1350m)
#1 – Brentwood @ $9.00
Brentwood won well fresh up at Doomben before adding two placings from his next three starts.
The five-year-old son of I Am Invincible is a three-time winner on the track, and getting the inside draw is ideal.
We’re happy with the value odds.
