Eagle Farm horse racing tips & form
—
Race 1. (14:36) Season Greetings from BRC Maiden (1000m)
#3 – Mishani Reactor
Mishani Reactor hasn’t been too far away from the prize, including a third placing at Sunshine Coast last time out.
The two-year-old gelding by The Mission was only 1.2 lengths behind the winner as a $21 chance, but he won’t be paying those odds again.
Getting the inside draw adds to his chances.
Race 2. (15:11) Become a BRC Member Maiden (1600m)
#1 – Born Fearless
Born Fearless went well last time out when second at Eagle Farm, which is the best form guide.
The three-year-old gelding by Defcon was only 1.3 lengths behind the winner, and getting the inside draw helps.
Punters shouldn’t expect big odds.
Race 3. (15:46) Aquis The Home of 2YO Maiden (1846m)
#1 – Taranaki
Taranaki is nearing a win after running second at Sunshine Coast last time out.
The Chris Waller-trained three-year-old was only a length behind the winner as a favourite, and we expect more money to come again.
Look for odds around $2.40 on race day.
Race 4. (16:21) Doreen Bird C1 Handicap (1846m)
#7 – Free Carry
Tony Gollan lines up the son of Bon Hoffa, who won at Toowoomba last time out.
The four-year-old won by 1.3 lengths as a $1.70 chance, and punters will get better odds this time around.
Barrier 11 shouldn’t worry him over this distance, so we’re happy to include him in selections.
Race 5. (16:56) XXXX Gold Handicap (1000m)
#9 – Adalie
Adalie ended last preparation with a win at Sunshine Coast, which is the best form guide.
The four-year-old mare has been prepared with a trial win at Sunshine Coast by 4.8 lengths, so that’s a great indication.
Angela Jones rides, and we’re happy to include her in our selections.
Race 6. (17:31) Magic Millions C2 Handicap (1400m)
#1 – Tarps
Tarps looks to have a nice future at this level after running well enough in two runs back from a spell.
The four-year-old son of Spirit of Boom owns two wins from seven starts, and getting 2kg off his back is ideal.
He should get every chance from barrier two, and punters could get value odds in an even betting field.
Race 7. (18:08) Ladbrokes Bet Ticker BM68 (1600m)
#1 – Mocambo
Mocambo hasn’t been at his best in two starts this preparation, but he looked good when winning consecutive races last campaign.
The seven-year-old son of Deep Field owns five wins from 29 starts, and getting 3kg off his back could take him close.
Punters could get each-way odds on race day, so that’s good enough to include him.
