Kembla Grange racing tips
—
Race 1. (13:05) Healthier Illawarra Maiden (1400m)
#6 – Suspect @ $2.00
Suspect showed good speed when running second at Hawkesbury, and we’re happy to forgive his most recent effort at Rosehill.
The three-year-old son of I Am Invincible should appreciate being back in this company, and he won’t take long to break maidens.
Getting $2 is a fair price, so snap it up.
Race 3. (14:15) Assett Professional Stayers Cup (2400m)
#1 – Notabadbuy @ $2.50
Notabadbuy is already a two-time winner this campaign, and we’re backing him to win a third.
The five-year-old son of The Bold One owns four wins from 14 starts overall, and his effort for fourth at Warwick Farm last start was solid.
Getting 2kg off his back adds to his appeal.
Race 5. (15:25) PFD Food Services AJ Lillye Memorial (1200m)
#6 – Garza Blanca @ $2.25
Garza Blanca is the class runner of the field for Ciaron Maher, and he could hit the ground running.
The four-year-old son of I Am Invincible is a three-time winner coming off a race at Flemington behind Spacewalk, so that’s hot form.
His recent trial win stacks up well, so put him clearly on top.
Race 7. (16:40) Peroni Kembla Grange Classic (1600m)
#2 – Tutta La Vita @ $3.10
Tutta La Vita ran third in the Group 1 Surround Stakes last start behind Tropical Squall, so that’s clearly te best form guide.
The Chris Waller-trained filly is only a one-time winner, but she’s much better than that suggests, as shown last start.
She’s already valuable and carrying 54kg makes her tough to beat.

Race 2. (18:15) R J Sanderson & Associates BM64 (1000m)
#4 – Grinzinger Angel @ $2.45
Grinzinger Angel showed good pace to kick off her last preparation, and she could fire up early at Pakenham.
The three-year-old filly by Harry Angel won at Casterton and Geelong before struggling last start, but she pulled up with a problem.
Follow the positive betting moves.
Race 4. (19:15) Southside Racing Maiden (1600m)
#3 – Thoughtful Woman @ $2.45
Thoughtful Woman is overdue a win after posting eight placings from 13 starts, including two back at Pakenham.
The five-year-old mare goes best at this distance, and although she has frustrated punters, she’s worth backing for one more run.
She won’t get a better chance to break through.
Race 6. (20:15) Fulmen Park BM64 (1400m)
#6 – Amani @ $3.60
Amani showed her true form when winning at Terang, and we fancy her chances of winning again.
The four-year-old mare by Smart Missile produced a sustained run around the outside of runners to score by 1.8 lengths.
We can see her rising the grades with style.
Race 8. (21:15) Pakenham Cup (2500m)
#1 – Dunkel @ $2.90
Dunkel is a class act, and we’re not surprised he’s the favourite for the Pakenham Cup.
The Patrick Payne-trained gelding owns eight wins from 11 starts, including the Group 1 South Australian Derby.
That form is tops, and he won’t be worried by the big weight.
