Eagle Farm horse racing tips
—
Race 1. (12:32) Makers Mark Maiden (1840m)
#11 – Kalends @ $3.80
Kalends comes off consecutive placings and it’s only a matter of time before she wins.
The Tony Gollan-trained mare by No Nay Never owns two placings from two starts at Eagle Farm, and the light weight helps.
It could pay to follow the money.
Race 2. (13:13) The WOTP Trio C4 (1840m)
#7 – Sunset Soiree @ $2.20
Sunset Soiree comes off a win at Eagle Farm, so he’s good enough to go back-to-back.
The four-year-old mare by Deep Field is a two-time winner on the track and getting in with 55.5kg on her back helps.
We’re not surprised by the money coming for her.
Race 3. (13:48) Impressu BM65 (1000m)
#6 – Town Crier @ $2.45
Town Crier did well to win by just under a length on debut, which came at Eagle Farm.
The three-year-old gelding was spelled following that win, which is always a good sign, and he placed in a recent trial.
We expect his odds to firm on race day.
Race 4. (14:32) Nova 106.9 BM70 (1000m)
#1 – Perfect Mission @ $3.50
Perfect Mission carried solid betting support fresh up and she wasn’t far away when third.
The Annabel Neasham-trained mare owns a win and four placings from six starts, so she has been around the mark throughout her career.
Getting 2kg off her back adds weight to her chances.
Race 5. (15:43) Intro Recruitment Cup Maiden (1200m)
#12 – Flying D’amore @ $8
Flying D’amore is on debut for Neasham, and her trial form has been impressive.
We thought her odds would be shorter following two trial wins, including one at Eagle Farm, so take the value.
Dropping to 52kg makes her an attractive bet.
Race 6. (16:23) Century Pools BM65 (1600m)
#1 – Motion Legend @ $6
Motion Legend runs at value odds following a win at Sunshine Coast, and that form could hold up well.
The Jack Bruce-trained four-year-old has yet to race at Eagle Farm, but it’s a track he should enjoy racing at.
Getting 3kg off his back helps.
Race 7. (17:03) Ascot Green C1 (1400m)
#8 – Winsome Star @ $4.50
Winsome Star looked good winning on debut at Sunshine Coast before placing at Ipswich and Eagle Farm.
The three-year-old colt by Star Turn was a close margin behind the winner last time out, and this race looks ideal for him.
Take the each-way odds available.
Race 8. (17:47) Canadian Club BM65 (2418m)
#11 – Iberian Ruler @ $17
Iberian Ruler rises in class after winning at Lismore, which is a fair form guide for this race.
We like that he’s in the Neasham stable, and now that the penny has dropped, he could kick on with it.
Carrying a light weight helps, and punters get generous odds.
Race 9. (18:25) Ladbrokes Hub C5 (1200m)
#1 – Richon @ $2.80
Richon owns four wins from 10 starts, including a fresh up win at Ipswich.
The four-year-old won his only start at the track, and getting 2kg off his back adds to his appeal.
We expect him to be right in the mix and the odds aren’t surprising.
