Newcastle horse racing tips & form

Race 1. (13:45) Hungerford Hill Wines Maiden (900m)
#1 – Duke of Bronte @ $2.40
Duke of Bronte wasn’t too far away in two runs last preparation, but he’s the favourite based on his trial form.
The three-year-old gelding by Capitalist won two trials at Warwick Farm in fine style, so he could kick off this preparation in style.
Getting the inside draw with 4kg off his back is ideal.
Race 2. (14:20) I Am Invincible Yearlings Midway (900m)
#7 – Rantan @ $2.00
Rantan is on debut for Ron Quinton after looking good winning a trial at Randwick.
The two-year-old daughter of I Am Invincible won the most recent trial impressively, and it’s good to see a lot of betting support.
She could have a bright future, and her odds could firm.
Race 3. (14:55) NZB Finance Maiden (1850m)
#5 – Hooligan Tommy @ $3.00
Hooligan Tommy is knocking on the door of a win after posting three placings from seven starts, and they often need time with this stable.
The John Sargent-trained gelding should enjoy the rise in distance after placing at Hawkesbury over 1800m last start.
Getting the inside draw adds to his appeal.
Race 4. (15:30) Coastline Pool & Spa Maiden (1250m)
#1 – Extremely Frilly @ $5.00
The five-year-old mare is getting close to a win after posting three consecutive placings, so she’s a good bet.
She continues to hit the line with good power, and although punters are getting frustrated, she runs at value odds in this race.
We thought she would be much shorter with bookmakers.
Race 5. (16:05) Sharp Office Provincial C1 (1250m)
#2 – Invincible Whip @ $4.40
Invincible Whip capped off two placings with a win at Scone last start, and he could hit the ground running this preparation.
The three-year-old hasn’t looked good at the trials since, but he wasn’t asked for much, so it could pay to look past that.
The natural ability is there, and punters get value odds.
Race 6. (16:40) The Prince of Merewether BM64 (1850m)
#10 – Dances with Hooves @ $3.70
Dances with Hooves is already a two-time winner from four starts, including a win at Tamworth last time out.
The three-year-old filly by Real Steel won by 4.8 lengths, so she’s a very nice type at this level, and we’re happy with the odds.
She is shortening with bookmakers, so grab the odds available.
Race 7. (17:15) Polytrack Midway Championship Wildcard C5 (1400m)
#9 – Terra Mater @ $4.20
Terra Mater looked good winning three consecutive races to kick off this preparation.
The four-year-old mare by Wandjina finished fourth at Gosford last start, but that was a tricky field.
She could find this more to her liking, and punters get each-way odds.
Race 8. (17:50) Davali Easter Yearlings C1 (1500m)
#1 – Fiddlers Green @ $3.70
Fiddlers Green is knocking on the door after consecutive second placings at Hawkesbury.
The three-year-old gelding by Merchant Navy deserves to be the favourite in a tough field, and he only needs luck from the wide draw.
He owns a good turn-of-foot, which will win him plenty of races.
