Randwick horse racing tips
—
Race 1. (12:30) Midway Handicap (1600m)
#8 – Cirebon @ $5
Cirebon has looked good recently at Canterbury with two wins and two second placings.
The four-year-old mare by Real Impact is a four-time winner overall, and punters get each-way odds from bookmakers.
It’s a tough field but he’s the one to beat.
Race 2. (13:05) Darley Lonhro Plate (1000m)
#1 – Anode @ $1.85
Anode won well on debut at Randwick when scoring by 3.5 lengths, which is an excellent form guide.
The Waterhouse/Bott-trained runner is likely to push forward and make its own luck, which is a typical tactic from this stable.
Include the short odds in horse racing multis.
Race 3. (13:40) Inglis Classic Yearling Sale BM78 (1600m)
#4 – Hell Hath No Fury @ $4.80
Hell Hath No Fury is shooting for three consecutive wins after scoring at Warwick Farm.
The four-year-old mare graduates to Saturday racing, but this isn’t the strongest field we have ever seen.
Punters get each-way odds to snap up on race day.
Race 4. (14:15) Tab Highway Handicap C3 (1200m)
#3 – Belvedere Boys @ $3.90
Betting support has come for Belvedere Boys, who has yet to finish worse than second from four career starts.
The four-year-old son of Maurice won easily at Doomben, and although that’s not Sydney form, it was still a quality victory.
His odds could firm on race day.
Race 5. (14:50) The Westmead Institute BM78 (1300m)
#7 – Gently Rolled @ $2.80
Gently Rolled owns two wins and five placings from eight starts, including a second placing at Rosehill last start.
That was a good run in defeat, and she hit the line nicely, so we expect her to win shortly this preparation.
Her opening odds have shortened, so take the current price.
Race 6. (15:25) Silversale Eskimo Prince Stakes (1200m)
#5 – Morovia @ $4.80
Morovia didn’t fire at the end of his last preparation, but he could hit the ground running.
The three-year-old colt by Snitzel won on debut, so he finds form quickly, and we’re happy with the each-way odds.
He could be well-backed on race day.
Race 8. (16:35) Laurel Oak Bloodstock BM94 (1000m)
#8 – Frilled @ $2.70
Frilled is unbeaten after five starts and she could have a big autumn in store.
The Matthew Smith-trained mare won at Moonee Valley narrowly last start, and this could be her toughest test to date.
She will head forward and give them something to catch.
Race 9. (17:15) ASI Solutions Handicap (1600m)
#8 – Amor Victorious @ $2.25
Amor Victorious is a professional type with four wins from nine starts, including two wins at Randwick.
The four-year-old son of Caravaggio gets every chance down in the weights at 52kg, and any easing of the track is a bonus.
We’re not surprised by short odds from bookmakers.
Race 10. (17:55) Precise Air BM78 (1200m)
#9 – Shezanalister @ $4.80
Shezanalister is rising through the grades nicely after winning at Canterbury and Warwick Farm this campaign.
The Bjorn Baker-trained mare owns four wins and five placings from 11 starts, and getting the inside draw could see her lead throughout.
It’s a tough field, but she’s a value runner.
