Gosford racing tips
—
Race 1. (11:40) Tooheys New Super Maiden (1100m)
#1 – Presides @ $3.50
Presides ran fourth on debut at Cranbourne when listed at $2.70, so punters get better odds this time around.
The three-year-old gelding by Lonhro gets all favours off the inside draw, and having the Cummings polish helps his cause.
We’re happy to include him in selections in the opening race.
Race 3. (12:50) Bull Throttle Maiden (1100m)
#6 – Zealously @ $2.15
The two-year-old colt ran second on debut at Randwick, which is an excellent form guide for midweek racing.
Zealously was only a length behind the winner, and he comes off a trial win at Randwick by just under a length.
Barrier 12 doesn’t help, but he has more talent than most here.
Race 5. (14:05) Triple M Maiden (1200m)
#10 – Eraantyva @ $2.20
Eraantyva was only a half-length behind the winner on debut, which is an excellent form guide.
The three-year-old filly by Zoustar has plenty of upside at this level, and getting an inside draw adds to her appeal.
Her odds are shortening with bookmakers, which isn’t surprising.
Race 7. (15:20) De Bortoli Wines Midway BM64 (1600m)
#2 – Pandano @ $5.50
Pandano is better than what he has shown in three starts this preparation, so we’re happy to stick with him.
The seven-year-old gelding by Dundeel is a six-time winner, and four of those wins came in soft track conditions.
Getting 2kg off his back adds to his appeal.

Race 1. (17:15) Duffy & Simon Lawyers Maiden (1200m)
#2 – Groove Jet @ $3.80
Groove Jet ran third on debut at Cranbourne, which is a tidy form guide.
The two-year-old filly by Pierata was only a length behind the winner, and there’s nothing wrong with that form.
Her odds are drifting, but we’re happy to take what’s available.
Race 3. (18:15) Adam Sass Takes On Maiden (1600m)
#1 – Boga Legend @ $2.50
Boga Legend looks to cap off consecutive second placings with a win, and getting an inside draw is ideal.
The three-year-old gelding was no match for the winner fresh up, but having John Allen in the saddle adds to his appeal.
Money has come for him, which isn’t surprising.
Race 6. (19:45) Liberty Equipment Hire Handicap (1200m)
#6 – Sioux Spirit @ $2.30
Sioux Spirit won well on debut at Geelong, and we’re picking her to remain unbeaten.
The three-year-old filly by Sioux Nation ran at $1.50 odds, so there was a stack of confidence with her chances.
Having Craig Williams in the saddle is another positive aspect.
Race 7. (20:15) Greenway Turf Solutions BM64 (1400m)
#5 – Delusionaldictator @ $2.70
Delusionaldictator won by just under a length at Wangaratta before spelling, which is always a good sign.
The three-year-old gelding by Thronum gets all favours from barrier four, and we’re not worried by the drifting odds.
Watch for any late betting moves.
