Race 1. (13:30) O’Brien Real Estate Maiden (2080m)
#1 – Aussie Nation @ $4
Aussie Nation ran third on debut at Scone, and coming to Victoria could help his form.
The Annabel Neasham-trained four-year-old wasn’t far behind the winner over 1600m, and he should appreciate the rise in distance.
Take the each-way odds available.
Race 3. (14:30) Skye Excavations Maiden (1600m)
#8 – Rosetown Princess @ $2.10
Rosetown Princess has yet to win from seven starts, but the five-year-old mare is getting close.
The daughter of Redwood ran second at Warrnambool last time out and she was only a length behind the winner.
Punters must take short odds, but she could boost multis.
Race 5. (15:30) Silks BM64 (1400m)
#4 – Speak Now @ $3.30
Speak Now owns two wins and four placings from eight starts, including a win last time out at Sandown.
The four-year-old son of Star Witness got the better of Boldinho, so that’s solid midweek form, and it could pay off.
Expect solid barrier speed and he could kick clear.
Race 6. (16:00) Ladbrokes Odds Surge BM64 (1000m)
#3 – Princess Spirit @ $2.50
Princess Spirit hasn’t done anything wrong throughout his career, including two wins and two placings.
The four-year-old son of Sir Prancealot won at Cranbourne last time out by 4.3 lengths, which isn’t easy to do over 1000m.
2kg comes off his back and he could be a smart type in the making.

Hawkesbury

Race 1. (12:50) Angels Florist Gas Conversions Maiden (1300m)
#8 – Evelyn May @ $3.20
Evelyn May showed good speed last preparation when running second at Kembla Grange, and anything close to that form is enough.
The three-year-old filly by Sacred Falls is a Kiwi-bred runner, so she should be better in her second campaign.
Carrying a light weight helps, and punters get fair odds.
Race 4. (14:40) Richmond Club Maiden (1100m)
#12 – Royal Tribute @ $1.85
Royal Tribute lost no admirers when running second on debut at Randwick, and his trials since have been excellent.
The three-year-old colt by Snitzel comes off consecutive trial wins at Randwick, and his ceiling is much higher than his opposition.
He should be putting this field to bed.
Race 5. (15:20) Bedrock Quarry Products & Bulk Transport BM64 (2000m)
#4 – Celestial Fury @ $3.20
Celestial Fury capped off consistent placings with a win at Gosford, and he could double down.
The five-year-old son of Savabeel has enough experience to beat this field, and we’re not surprised by the money coming for it.
He handles all surfaces, and his natural speed is an asset.
Race 7. (16:35) Redbank North Richmond BM64 (1400m)
#8 – Konasana @ $2.25
Konasana did a good job on debut to win at Randwick-Kensington, which should be good midweek form.
The three-year-old filly for Chris Waller is well educated, and getting barrier three is an asset.
We expect money to come for her on race day, so take the odds available.
