Cranbourne racing tips
—
Race 2. (14:00) Ladbrokes Odds Surge Maiden (1200m)
#11 – Alletante @ $2.70
Alletante is getting close to a win after consecutive third placings, including one at Mornington last time out.
The four-year-old mare by Deep Field owns four placings from seven starts overall, and we’re not surprised by the money coming for him.
He should be the one they have to beat.
Race 3. (14:30) Ladbrokes Communities Maiden (1500m)
#2 – Tosen Warrior @ $2.90
Tosen Warrior turned his form around with a second placing at Mornington, which is a tidy form guide for this race.
The four-year-old son of Tosen Stardom didn’t handle the track at Moonee Valley two back, but getting to Cranbourne should be ideal.
He’s fitter now and ready to fire.
Race 5. (15:30) Ladbrokes Blackbook BM58 (2025m)
#4 – Sycamore @ $4.50
Sycamore has been around the mark throughout her career, including a win and two placings.
The four-year-old daughter of Snitzel wasn’t far away when fourth at Morphettville last start, and a repeat of that could be good enough.
Punters get each-way odds, so get the odds before they firm.
Race 7. (16:30) Ladbrokes Same Race Multi BM58 (1200m)
#8 – Yongtai @ $4.60
Yongtai was too good for them at Bendigo when breaking maidens and she looks good enough to kick on with it.
The mare by Sepoy gets all favours with 3kg coming off her back, and although drawn awkwardly, she showed a good turn-of-foot.
We’re happy with the each-way odds available.

Race 1. (13:50) Noel Comerford’s Auto Parts Maiden (1000m)
#1 – Ghost Walker @ $3.20
Ghost Walker didn’t do much wrong on debut and the three-year-old should be ready to fire.
The son of Ready for Victory has been well-backed since markets opened. He opened at $4, so the betting confidence is a good sign.
We expect him to be fighting out the finish.
Race 3. (15:05) Riverina Signmakers BM74 (1400m)
#2 – Cream Rises @ $3.30
This isn’t an easy race, but Cream Rises has more ability than most of his opposition.
His recent form might not be inspiring, but he comes off races at Canterbury, Warwick Farm, and Rosehill.
This is a drop in class, and he could take advantage.
Race 5. (16:20) Adams Kenneally White BM66 (1800m)
#1 – Unique Prince @ $4.60
Unique Prince looks to cap off consistent form with a win, including five consecutive placings this preparation.
The six-year-old son of Shaft owns two wins and three placings from nine starts, and he doesn’t need to improve much to win.
We expect him to be right around the mark again.
Race 6. (16:55) Wagga Wagga Early Years Learning Centre C1 (1300m)
#5 – Dundas @ $5.50
Dundas has turned his form around this preparation with a win and a placing, so we’re happy to stick with him.
The five-year-old son of Dundeel followed it up with a third placing at Canberra and dropping to 54.5kg helps his cause.
Getting each-way odds is ideal, and he only needs luck from the draw.
