Hawkesbury racing tips
—
Race 1. (12:20) HRC Motel Maiden (1100m)
#8 – Skip a Beat @ $2.70
Skip a Beat has been rock-solid in betting markets since opening, and she could start this preparation with a win.
The four-year-old daughter of Swiss Ace ran third at Randwick two starts back before running at Canterbury, so that form checks out.
We’re happy to take the odds before they firm.
Race 4. (14:10) Blakes Marine Maiden (1100m)
#10 – Setombe @ $4.80
James Cummings lines up the three-year-old filly who is better for two runs last campaign.
The daughter of Harry Angel ran 2.5 lengths behind the winner at Canterbury last start, and her trial form is solid enough.
Drawing barrier 14 doesn’t help, but she could mature nicely this time in.
Race 5. (14:50) Workers Club Group C1 (1100m)
#6 – Party Doll @ $4.00
Party Doll owns a win and four placings from eight starts, and she has solid form in wet conditions.
The four-year-old mare by Sooboog is better for three runs this preparation, and it won’t take her long to break through for an overdue win.
Getting each-way odds is better than we expected, so put her on top.
Race 6. (15:25) Pioneer Services C1 (1500m)
#3 – Allapercanto @ $2.60
Allapercanto has been right around the mark throughout most of her career, including a win and four placings.
The daughter of Per Incanto is bred to handle wet conditions despite having never raced on anything except good surfaces.
Barrier three is ideal, and she should be the one to beat.

Race 2. (13:30) Rookies Pizzeria Maiden (1600m)
#1 – Beautiful View @ $3.10
Looking to cap off consistent form is Beautiful View, who looks to win his first race in 13 attempts.
The four-year-old gelding by Alpine Eagle owns six placings from 12 starts, so he doesn’t need to improve too much to win.
We’re happy to back him until he wins.
Race 3. (14:00) Bottlemart Moe Maiden (1000m)
#1 – Fall of Rome @ $3.20
There was nothing wrong with the form of Fall of Rome last campaign, so he’s worth backing again.
The five-year-old gelding by Warhorse owns three placings from six starts, and getting 2kg off his back is a welcome addition.
We’re not surprised to see him run as the favourite.
Race 5. (15:00) RMBL Investments Rising Stars (1200m)
#3 – Takashima @ $2.40
Takashima won on debut, and he has been threatening to win again this campaign.
The three-year-old gelding by Russian Revolution ran second at Echuca and Moe, and getting blinkers on could help.
We expect him to shorten on race day.
Race 6. (15:30) Johnno’s Shed Handicap (1000m)
#2 – Marble Nine @ $2.30
Looking to remain unbeaten is Marble Nine, who won well on debut at Mornington.
The three-year-old gelding defeated only a field of five, but he got back the better of Our Cracklin Rosie.
That came in November, so he has been patiently handled for his return, and it could pay off.
