Warwick Farm horse racing tips & form
—
Race 1. (14:20) Earthlight First Yearlings BM72 (2400m)
#3 – First Light @ $4
First Light is struggling to get over the line in first place, but the six-year-old meets a moderate field.
The son of Dubawi owns two wins from 22 starts, but he hasn’t been too far away in stronger races this season.
Getting the inside draw helps his chances and running 2.6 lengths behind Father’s Day is the best form guide for this race.
Race 2. (14:55) James Squire BM64 (1000m)
#2 – Martial Music @ $3.90
Martial Music comes off a win at Gosford by 1.8 lengths, which is a tidy form guide for a race like this.
The four-year-old son of Your Song has yet to fire in three starts at Warwick Farm, but this race is there for the taking.
He only needs a touch of luck from the wide barrier, but after opening at $5.50, money has come thick and fast.
Race 3. (15:30) Tab Super Maiden (1100m)
#1 – Zaragoza @ $3.20
Zaragoza is on debut for James Cummings following two trial placings from three attempts.
The well-bred son of Street Boss ran third in a Rosehill trial behind Getty before finishing fifth at Randwick behind Vintonic.
It always helps to pay attention to Cummings-trained debutantes that have had solid betting support, so we’re putting him on top.
Race 4. (16:05) Ole Kirk First Yearlings BM72 (1400m)
#2 – The Seven Seas @ $6.50
The Seven Seas was disappointing in heavy conditions at Hawkesbury, but being on a better track helps.
The four-year-old mare looked much better when winning at Newcastle earlier this preparation, and she followed it up with a second placing at Randwick.
Getting 3kg off her back adds to her appeal, and punters get better odds than expected.
Race 5. (16:40) Buy an Arrowfield Graduate BM78 (1200m)
#1 – King of Naples @ $4.80
Value is with King of Naples, who is a model of consistency with four wins and seven placings from 15 starts.
The four-year-old son of Your Song doesn’t know how to run a bad race over the distance, and his fresh up form is good enough.
Carrying 61kg doesn’t make it easy, but we can’t overlook his chances.
Race 6. (17:15) Bisley Workwear BM72 (1400m)
#1 – And We Danced @ $4.40
And We Danced was too good for them fresh up when winning at Wagga, and she can handle the rise in class.
The five-year-old mare by Wrote handles all conditions, which is ideal, and she’s another runner getting 3kg off her back.
With a good ride from a wide barrier, she should be fighting out the finish.
