Tuesday NBA Betting Tips
—
Cleveland Cavaliers vs Orlando Magic @ Amway Centre
The Cavaliers have bounced back nicely after a slow start to post a 13-9 record, following three consecutive wins.
They got the better of Detroit, Orlando, and Miami, and now they face Orlando again, but this time it’s on the road.
Winning on the road hasn’t been difficult for the Cavaliers, who are 7-3, so there could be value with their $2.14 odds. However, the Magic are one of the better home teams in the NBA.
They are 10-2 at home following a 123-91 victory over the Pistons, who are a terrible team, but it was still a solid victory.
We have been impressed by what the Magic have achieved so far, and there is every chance they keep winning against tough Eastern Conference teams like the Cavaliers.
Bookmakers have the Magic at $1.71, so we’re including that in our NBA picks.
Bet: Orlando Magic @ $1.71
Minnesota Timberwolves vs New Orleans Pelicans @ Smoothie King Centre
The Pelicans come off a terrible In-Season Tournament semifinal loss to the Lakers, who eventually won the tournament.
They need to show more consistency, otherwise punters will get frustrated. However, they are 8-4 at home, so that’s a positive.
Their last two home wins came against the Spurs and 76ers, so beating Philadelphia is a great notch on their record.
Minnesota is 17-4 and playing some of the best basketball in the league. They are riding a significant winning streak, including a 127-103 win over the Grizzlies, and they’re full of confidence.
It’s a tricky game for punters to work out, but we think the Timberwolves have the advantage based on their roster. There aren’t many negatives with the likes of Karl-Anthony Towns and Anthony Edwards, so we’re taking the $2.25 available.
Bet: Minnesota Timberwolves @ $2.25
Brooklyn Nets vs Sacramento Kings @ Golden 1 Centre
The Kings have been playing well this season, but their form recently has been mixed.
They scored quality wins over the Warriors, Nuggets, and Suns, which are excellent victories against strong opposition. However, they also lost to the Clippers and Pelicans.
Much like over the last few years, the Kings struggle to produce a winning streak, but they’re good enough to beat the Nets.
Brooklyn is the $2.67 underdogs following three consecutive wins. They got the better of the Magic, Hawks, and Wizards, so they’re also playing well.
Being 12-9 is better than expected for the visitors, and it was on the back of good defence. They limited the Wizards to just 97 points last time on court, and there could be value with their odds against the Kings.
We think it could be a close game, and most of the money has come for the Nets +5.5, so we’re taking that line before it moves.
Bet: Brooklyn Nets +5.5 @ $1.90
