Friday NBA Betting Tips
—
Chicago Bulls vs Toronto Raptors @ Scotiabank Arena
Life doesn’t get any easier for the Toronto Raptors, who lost their best player in Pascal Siakam at the trade deadline.
They are already struggling at 15-25, and this latest blow won’t help their chances. Therefore, the Chicago Bulls could strike.
The Bulls have won three of their last five games, and although they suffered a 109-91 loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers, they are good enough to bounce back from that loss.
Despite being 19-23, the Bulls are good enough to improve and make a run for the playoffs. They have the players to make a run, especially with DeMar DeRozan and Zach LaVine on the floor.
We expect them to play well on Friday and getting $1.79 for the Bulls is a good price.
Bet: Chicago Bulls @ $1.79
Oklahoma City Thunder vs Utah Jazz @ Delta Centre
The Utah Jazz are one of the hottest teams in the NBA right now after going on a lengthy winning streak.
It has been an impressive run, including recent wins over the Bucks, Nuggets, Lakers, and Pacers. Most teams haven’t beaten those opponents, so credit the Jazz for turning their year around.
They face another tough team in the Thunder, but they have lost their last two road games, and they could be getting tired.
We’re not surprised to see the Thunder listed as $1.59 favourites, but playing on the road could make it tough for them to regain their best form.
There is much better value with the Jazz, who are $2.37, and well worth including in NBA selections. They’re running hot, and they have scored over 123 points in each of their last five games.
That form is too good to overlook, so take the team full of momentum.
Bet: Utah Jazz @ $2.37
Indiana Pacers vs Sacramento Kings @ Golden 1 Centre
The Pacers come off consecutive losses to the Nuggets and Jazz, who are tough teams to beat, but they have no friends in betting markets.
Even though the Kings are a dangerous team, they’re coming off three consecutive losses, so the $1.27 odds seem too short.
There is much better value in taking the Pacers +8.5, and although Siakam is unlikely to be ready to play, there should be plenty of confidence in the team.
The lack of betting support is worrying, but we’re sticking to our guns and taking the Pacers to keep it close on the road.
They have a winning road record at 10-9, so there are no worries there, and they’re wanting to close the gap on the Bucks in the Central standings.
Take the +8.5 line, which could firm on game day, and entertain the $3.73 head-to-head odds.
Bet: Indiana Pacers +8.5 @ $1.85
