The Philadelphia 76ers are usually a good bet at home, and their 6-3 home record measures up.
They come off a win against the Oklahoma City Thunder on the road, which was a tough outing for Joel Embiid and his men.
Embiid has been the standout player for the 76ers again, having won the NBA MVP last season. He averages 32.1 points per game, which is one of the highest averages in the league.
That doesn’t always translate to wins, but the 76ers are playing well enough to warrant favouritism against the visiting Los Angeles Lakers.
After posting four wins from their last five games, the Lakers are living up to expectations. They defeated the likes of the Cavaliers and Rockets, which are quality wins.
However, they have a losing 3-5 record on the road, which needs to improve, but they have played much better on the road lately.
We’re taking the 76ers to hold down the fort at home. They are usually one of the best teams to back at home, and they have shown no reason to jump off their back.

The Utah Jazz defeated the New Orleans Pelicans on Sunday, and now they run it back again.
They won without their best players, but the Pelicans were also resting Zion Williamson, so it was an evenly contested game.
Both teams should be back to full health, and we’re siding with the Jazz to get the wood over the Pelicans again.
Despite being only 5-11, the Jazz are a decent team. They didn’t shoot well from the three-point line on Sunday and still won the game, which says something.
Having Lauri Markkanen back in the team will help with that, and they only need to defend the paint against Williamson to win.
Value should be with the Jazz, who are 4-4 at home, so they have been a much better bet at home this season.
Look for bookmakers to open the Jazz as home underdogs.

The Nuggets have struggled on this road trip, losing four of their last five games.
It’s not a good sign for the defending NBA champions, who started the year well, but without Jamal Murray on the floor and playing on the road, times have been tough.
They come off consecutive losses to the Orlando Magic and Houston Rockets, which are teams they should be beating with ease.
Scoring just 86 points against the Rockets was a dreadful performance, so the Clippers could capitalise on Tuesday.
After a slow start to the year, the Clippers rebounded with four wins from their last five games. The trade for James Harden looked like a bad one, but everything has clicked into place.
We were impressed with their 107-88 win over the Dallas Mavericks, and a similar performance sees them handle the Nuggets.
A fully fit Clippers side should be too strong for the Nuggets, who are nursing a host of injured players.
