New Zealand vs. South Africa Predictions
—
Best Bet
It’s nearing 100 years since South Africa defeated the All Blacks in Auckland, so we’re going with history for our pick.
It might not be a vintage All Blacks team in 2025, especially with their injury problems, but history is tough to overlook. They love playing at Eden Park, and the games aren’t usually close. They have recorded some massive wins over the Springboks at Eden Park, so we’re confident.
South Africa hasn’t looked good in two games against Australia. It went 1-1 at home, and although New Zealand went 1-1 in Argentina, playing at home is a different kettle of fish. Take the –2.5 line before late money comes for the hosts.

Same Game Multi
Punters get excellent value for Will Jordan and Reiko Ioane to score a try. Jordan is paying $2.80 to score, and his record of scoring tries is better than most.
He has been one of the more consistent All Blacks players over the last few years, and his ability to break through the defence is excellent. We’re confident of Jordan scoring a try and punters cashing in on Saturday night.
Ioane is a $2.87 chance to score, and we’re including him in picks because he loves scoring on the big occasion. Look for him to rile up the South Africans with an over-the-top try celebration.

Best Value Bet
We can’t see the All Blacks being behind at halftime, so we’re happy with the $2.25 odds available for a halftime/fulltime performance.
A reason why the ABs have such a good record at Eden Park is because they rarely get behind, and when the All Blacks lead, they don’t often give up the win. We would have been happy with $2, so take the extra value at $2.25.
