Australia vs. Argentina Predictions
—
Best Bet
The Wallabies are finally playing with some passion, which Joe Schmidt has instilled. They scored a brilliant come-from-behind win over South Africa to start the Rugby Championship, and that form is good enough to beat the Pumas.
They didn’t win the most recent game, but they had every chance of winning. A missed conversion was all that separated them, and Australia at its best is good enough to handle Argentina, which comes off a win over New Zealand.
The Pumas played their best game in years against the All Blacks but doing that on the road isn’t easy. We expect the Wallabies to grind them down and win in the trenches. Covering a –4.5 spread shouldn’t be too difficult for a team playing with confidence.

Same Game Multi
Most of the money with try scoring markets has come for Corey Toole and Max Jorgensen. They are the best try-scoring threats for Australia, and the series in South Africa should have given them plenty of confidence.
Jorgensen has been in fine try-scoring form, and the $1.90 odds are generous. They boost Rugby Championship SGM odds, and we expect him to score for Australia. We also expect Toole to score, and he’s the favourite to cross the line at $1.83.
It should be a high-scoring first half. Australia and Argentina will come out firing, and they could combine for around 30 first-half points.

Best Value Bet
We predict Jorgensen having a big game for the Wallabies, and he could get around the Argentinian defence with ease.
He is one of the better tactical backs in world rugby, but he’s also a good finisher, so the $8.50 odds for Jorgensen to score the opening try is good value.
