F1 Belgian Grand Prix Expert Tips & Predictions

Venue: Spa-Francorchamps, Belgium.
Race Date: 27th July 2025

The three week break in the middle of the 2025 Formula 1 season was never set to pass without incident and the departure of Christian Horner from Red Bull has been the key issue across the sport in the summer break. His 20 year association with the Austrian team has heralded a huge amount of success but with Red Bull struggling this season, it appears a decision has been made for a life without Horner.

For now, McLaren are the side to beat in the championship, with Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris going hard at it, with the Brit currently on the offensive in the title race. It remains early days within the campaign though and Spa should be a real chance for both drivers, and the chasing pack, to hunt a famous win at the Belgian Grand Prix.

F1 Belgian Grand Prix Race Winner

Spa remains one of the most iconic tracks on the global F1 calendar and all the big hitters will be out in force here:

Oscar Piastri @ $2.75

Australian Oscar Piastri has been plugging away hard this season at McLaren, pushing Lando Norris all the way but it does feel now or never for the young upstart. The constructors championship is all but won, leaving Norris and Piastri to scrap it out at the top of the leaderboard. This is a huge weekend for Piastri and he needs a big drive here in Belgium.

Lando Norris @ $2.90

Wins are the currency that Lando Norris needs to deal in at the moment and the Brit will be desperate to keep things ticking over, as he chases a maiden F1 world title. Wins in Austria and the UK will give him a serious boost ahead of this one and he should be refreshed and ready to go here at Spa.

Max Verstappen @ $5.00

The role of Max Verstappen at Red Bull looks to be under scrutiny in the post Christian Horner era and the Dutchman knows a big drive here at Spa would quash plenty of speculation. He still believes he can win another title for Red Bull in 2025, but he needs big drives on a weekly basis from here on in.

F1 Belgian Grand Prix Top Six Finish

This should be another fantastic weekend of action at Spa and there is plenty at stake for all the biggest names on the grid at the Belgian Grand Prix: –

George Russell @ $1.20

Mercedes and George Russell are clicking into gear superbly this season and the mid-term break looks to have come at the wrong time for them. That said, they should be refreshed and ready to go here at Spa and he will be full of driving throughout at the Belgian Grand Prix.

Lewis Hamilton @ $1.40

Ferrari and Lewis Hamilton haven’t forged the explosive relationship many people expected but there is no doubting its potential. Spa as a track has been a decent one for Hamilton historically and this could be a chance to put some decent points on the board.

Fernando Alonso @ $3.25

Spanish veteran Fernando Alonso can always turn on the pace and the style and he too has a good record here at Spa. Recent results have been quiet, but Alonso remains an imperious competitor, and he could be bang in the mix this weekend.
