BMW Championship Tips & Predictions

Best Bet
It has been a strange year for McIlroy, who decided to miss the first FedEx Cup Playoffs tournament last week at the FedEx St. Jude Championship.
He was the only player who missed the tournament, and there was no real reason for it. However, he should be fresh for the BMW Championship, and he’s good enough to beat the limited field of 50 this week.
Scheffler didn’t win as a favourite last week, so we’re not taking the $3.30 odds. He’s an amazing player, but McIlroy won the Players Championship and the Masters, with those wins coming in playoffs against J.J. Spaun and Justin Rose, who were top two last week.
The form stacks up, and the $8.50 with BMW Championship odds are too good to pass up.

Next Best
We backed Tommy Fleetwood at $26 last week, and it was another late choke from the Brit. It was painful to watch, especially for punters who took the generous odds.
Despite saying we’ll never back him again, he’s playing too well to leave out of picks. His long overdue PGA Tour win will come at some point, and with experience of choking away two tournaments already this year, he could use that to fuel the fire.
He needs a bit of grit, but we loved his attitude at the St. Jude Championship. He’ll take it on the chin, so the $21 in a field of only 50 golfers is a good price.

Best Value Bet
Maverick McNealy showed better form earlier in the season, but he’s still a chance to post a good result at the BMW Championship.
He finished T28 last week, and he’s one of the players who needs a good tournament to make the TOUR Championship next week. That could result in a nice performance from the 29-year-old American, who won the 2024 RSM Classic in November.
He will need to play well to beat some of the best golfers on the planet, but he’s a sneaky chance at $36.

Best Roughie
Corey Conners is a golfer who has slipped off the radar, but he was playing well earlier this year, including a T8 at the Masters and a recent T10 at the Open Championship.
Despite those performances, he’s not fancied to win this week after not performing well at the St. Jude Championship. However, he’s a much better golfer than what he showed there, so we’re happy to include him in picks.
If Conners brings his best golf, he should be on the first page of the leaderboard.

Top 20
Finishing in the top 20 in a field of only 50 isn’t too hard, especially for last week’s winner Justin Rose.
The British superstar should continue his good golf at the BMW Championship, and he’s eyeing a FedEx Cup win.
Getting $1.80 is a good price from bookmakers, so include Rose in golf multi bets this week.
