Sandown Park Greyhound Racing Tips
Race 1. 6.27PM Download The watchdog App Maiden Final – 515 metres
#2 Steamer Redeemer – $4.60 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Broke through at start six last time here when he finally found clear running, prior to that had been drawing middle boxes and just wasn’t quick enough away.
Came from mid-field to track them down last time out, gets a cosy draw in the two and if he can bide his time on the rail the runs will come.
Race 2. 6.49PM Sale to Sandown Final 1-4 Wins – 515 metres
#1 Turbulence – $4.20 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Excited to see this young chaser get back to Sandown Park, last time he was here broke the clock running 29.47 pinging the lids from this same box.
Was not disgraced at Sale a couple of minors both from box eight where he was not beaten far, back to the inside can lead and win.
Race 3. 7.10PM GOTBA Cup Grade 5 Heat 1 – 515 metres
#3 Jannila – $3.80 – Bet @ Sportsbet
First time over the five hundred here at Sandown is always a concern but this bitch has shown she can win anywhere with ten from her first fifteen starts.
Her box speed off sets most draws but she maps well to be first to the fence from the three and will take catching.
Race 4. 7.28PM Speed Star June 2 Free for All – 515 metres
#2 Music Event – $3.60 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Drops back from Group racing around the one turn tracks and get backs to the place he does his best racing, a 29.27 win from box two here in the past.
Can beat these out and put up a gap mid-race, will have to watch out for Nangar Rust who’ll be coming late, back his early burn.
Race 5. 7.49PM Harrison Dawson May 20 Grade 5 – 515 metres
#2 Dr. Madison – $7.50 – Bet @ Sportsbet
All the attention is on Papi Go Fast here who returns from a disappointing Golden Easter Egg campaign, although he drops in class I prefer a dog who’s been racing well at home.
Dr. Madison fits the bill, led all the way at The Meadows last time out and has always been sharp here in the past, draw helps too.
Race 6. 8.13PM Sapphire Crown May 20 Grade 5 – 595 metres
#8 Whatever I Say – $4 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Big ask for a young bitch to win first up over the middle-distance from box eight but her five hundred metre runs have more ground written all over them and with a lack of early speed here she should get across from the eight.
If she gets the fly from out wide should put up lengths mid-race even if she tires late.
Race 7. 8.34PM RSN Sandown Cup May 27 Grade 5 – 715 metres
#7 So Predictable – $4.80 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Deb Coleman knows how to train a stayer, stepped this bitch up to the seven hundred at the perfect time and she bloused them first time over the trip from this draw.
Main danger is Fernando Cazz here who’s the likely leader but will be on tired legs returning from a tough Association Cup Campaign.
Race 8. 8.55PM Accell Therapy Mixed 4/5 – 595 metres
#3 Riccarton Rick – $3.60 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Another who made his debut over a new trip last time out running second to the brilliant Zipping Rambo, the run was full of merit getting across from the eight and doing it tough.
Can step well from a more suitable draw and hopefully punch through to be one of the leaders early.
Race 9. 9.16PM GOTBA Cup Grade 5 Heat 2 – 515 metres
#6 Desert Flame – $3.40 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Putting together a great body of recent work three minors and two wins highlighted by a 29.4 effort here from box four, should get a cart across from the reserve in five.
The two looks the likely leader but hasn’t raced over this distance for a long time, she should wear him down.
Race 10. 9.40PM GOTBA Cup Heat 3 – 515 metres
#7 That’s Easy – $12 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Looks the each-way bet of the night, relishes wide boxes and recent form is stellar winning from the pink at Shepparton and running a bold second at The Meadows last week.
On his night has the speed to head the six here early which will go along way to him running a cheeky race.
Race 11. 9.55PM XP3020 Grade 5 – 515 metres
#8 Impress Shades – $4.80 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Threatening to come out and win a race like this, has just got bogged down mid-field his last three and rattled home wide on the track to finish third on each occasion.
Hasn’t won from the eight but could suit here if he’s able to wind up and come with a late run.
Race 12. 10.13PM Giddy-Up Grade 5 – 515 metres
#2 He Shall Rodger – $4.80 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Freshened up since late February should have some pep in his step early from a good draw, if he can drive through and stalk the leaders, he’s in good shape.
Loves to pull to the outside and gather them in down the stretch.
