The eight-year-old son of Galileo is bred to handle the wet, despite having only one placing from three attempts in heavy conditions.

He’s rock-hard fit, which could be telling over 2000m.

Stylish comes off a seventh at Caulfield, but the run was slightly better than it appears on paper.

The six-year-old mare was under three lengths from the winner, and she has shown good form this prep with a win and two placings.

It’s an even field, and she should be fighting out the finish in the conditions.

Punters get value odds for Wrote to Arataki, who won fresh up last preparation at Caulfield.

The eight-year-old mare is a two-time winner at Caulfield, and some of her best performances have come with the sting out of the track.

At $8.50, she is a better bet than the favourite, so snap up the value.

Stake: 1 Unit

Oliveanotherday has yet to let us down, but we’re betting against the favourite in this race.

There is better value with Bridal Waltz, who finished second behind Geegees Mistruth at Group 1 level last start, which is better than the favourites form.

She’s a proven fresh up winner, and getting in with 55kg is a steal.

Stake: 1 Unit

Seize the Day is the latest Kiwi runner to cross the Tasman for Te Akau, and he’s a quality customer.

The three-year-old colt by I Am Invincible is bred to be good, and after winning the NZ Sires’ by 4.5 lengths at Group 1 level, he’s the real deal.

He might need a run, but with Blake Shinn riding, that adds to our confidence, so include him at each-way odds.

Yellow Jersey could be in for a big spring campaign, which could culminate in a Melbourne Cup run.

The former French runner finished second at Eagle Farm last time out, and that was a good first-up run in Australia after a long break.

We like his upside, and although $2.40 is short, he’s a good multi bet addition.

Sass Appeal is shooting for six consecutive wins, and although untested in the conditions, she looks capable of winning.

The four-year-old daughter of So You Think has gone from strength to strength throughout her career, and she has a big win coming this spring.

Getting 1.5kg off her back is enough to justify the odds.
