Race 2. (14:10) Ettalong Diggers Maiden (1100m)
#4 – Shrine @ $2.25 – Bet @ Ladbrokes
Shrine didn’t show much on debut when finishing seventh at Kembla Grange, but she has since trialled well at Warwick Farm.
The three-year-old daughter of Shamardal looks to have more scope than most in this field and the early betting support is a good sign.
She opened at $3.70 and has firmed into $2.25, so that’s a sizable move.
Race 4. (15:25) Gosford RSL Club Maiden (1600m)
#5 – Murrajong Road @ $2.30 – Bet @ Ladbrokes
Murrajong Road is getting close to a win after back-to-back placings and it won’t take him long to win.
The Maher/Eustace-trained three-year-old ran third at Canterbury on debut before placing at Goulburn on a heavy track.
There has been a solid betting move for the favourite and he could firm to around $2.
Race 5. (16:05) Grindley Construction BM64 (1200m)
#3 – Devil’s Throat @ $3.20 – Bet @ Ladbrokes
Devil’s Throat capped off consistent form with a win at Canterbury and he could rise through the grades nicely.
The three-year-old handles all track conditions and only the wide draw is going against him, but he has the class to overcome it.
Expect him to settle off the speed and come with a big late run.
Race 7. (17:15) Entero Retirement BM64 (1200m)
#4 – Speech @ $7.50 – Bet @ Ladbrokes
Speech won on debut before running well enough to be considered at each-way odds on Tuesday.
The three-year-old filly comes off a second placing at Goulburn by a short margin and she only needs luck from the draw to win.
Barrier 15 isn’t easy, but she gets 2kg off her back and punters get odds worth snapping up.

Race 1. (13:30) Bet365 Odds Drift Protect Maiden (1106m)
#11 – Starlea @ $2.80 – Bet @ Ladbrokes
Starlea is overdue a winning turn after five placings from eight starts and she gets an ideal chance here.
The three-year-old filly comes off a placing at Bendigo where she was only a half-length behind the winner, which is a good form guide.
We expect her to settle back and finish over the top.
Race 3. (14:30) DKM Builders Maiden Plate (1406m)
#13 – Lady of Light @ $3.90 – Bet @ Ladbrokes
Lady of Light has improved at the jumpouts and she hasn’t been asked for much, so the betting tells the story.
The three-year-old filly by Blackfriars opened at $4.20 and has been backed into $3.90, which isn’t surprising for runners from this stable.
Drawing barrier five on debut is ideal and she should track into the race nicely.
Race 5. (15:30) RMBL Investments C2 Handicap (1606m)
#4 – Black Ivory @ $2.80 – Bet @ Ladbrokes
Black Ivory had solid betting support last start when winning at Stony Creek and the support could come again.
The Busuttin/Young-trained daughter of Redoute’s Choice is bred to be good and she can handle the steep rise in class.
Getting $2.80 is a fair price for Black Ivory and the stable clearly thinks highly of her.
Race 6. (16:00) Benalla Timber Products BM64 (2040m)
#1 – Dundirtcheap @ $2.25 – Bet @ Ladbrokes
Dundirtcheap looked to have a very bright future after winning his first two starts, but he has been disappointing this preparation.
The son of Dundeel comes off a sixth at Ballarat, which is below his best, but we’re expecting a bounce back effort.
He showed too much during his first campaign to drop him just yet.
