NBA Betting Tips

Houston Rockets vs Boston Celtics @ TD Garden

Two desperate teams meet at TD Garden on Saturday as the Boston Celtics and Houston Rockets try to end a two-game skid.

It was been a disappointing season so far for the Celtics, which scored back-to-back wins over OKC and Milwaukee but followed it up with two poor losses.

They were blown off the court by Dallas on Thursday before making a late rally, but it was too little, too late. It added to their recent woes, which sees their record sit at 23-25.

Speaking of disappointment, Houston has been awful this season. The general manager said they’re not tanking, but at 13-34, it certainly looks like it.

The Rockets had a sizable lead over a weakened Nets side on Thursday but despite leading by double digits, they ended up losing by 12 points. It was another nail in the coffin for this struggling franchise.

Boston should get back to its winning ways on Saturday, but improvement is needed.

Dallas Mavericks vs New York Knicks @ Madison Square Garden

Dallas held on to beat Boston on Thursday and although it got tight in the end, they looked impressive throughout the game.

The Mavericks haven’t had an amazing season but when Luka Doncic and Kristaps Porzingis are playing well, they are one of the better teams in the Western Conference.

Doncic is averaging 28.7 points per game and he’s not far off recording a triple-double average. His three-point shooting has improved over the course of the season and that’s bad news for the opposition.

New York was expected to win its last two games, especially a disappointing loss against Minnesota on Thursday. The 102-101 win came as a shock to punters who had shown confidence is this progressive NBA team.

The Knicks are a team that could make waves in the Eastern Conference, but they’ll need to play at their best. Losing to the Timberwolves isn’t ideal, especially with Dallas coming to town on Saturday.

Given the recent form of Luka Doncic, we have to pick Dallas. It’s on the road for its fourth consecutive game, but the Mavericks simply have more scoring power.

Punters should get value odds in this spot, so include them in your NBA Saturday multi.

Oklahoma City Thunder vs Phoenix Suns @ PHX Arena

Phoenix has emerged as one of the premier teams in the Western Conference this season and we expect its winning run to continue.

The Suns have won seven of their last 10 games, including the last three against Toronto, Charlotte and Atlanta. Two of those wins came on the road, so playing at home helps their chances.

They are 16-8 at PHX Arena, which is a solid home record. Phoenix has enjoyed a stable roster this season, which includes Chris Paul, Devin Booker and DeAndre Ayton.

The trio have combined perfectly this season and this could be the year Chris Paul finally gets his NBA Championship. However, there is a lot of water to go under the bridge.

Oklahoma City has been struggling with injuries and it has proved too much in recent times. The likes of Shai Gilgeous-Alexander are out of the team, and he’s their top scorer.

With three consecutive losses to Memphis, Boston and Dallas on the record, the Thunder should struggle to beat the Suns.

Bookmakers should have the Suns are firm favourites to win on Saturday.
