NBA Betting Tips

Boston Celtics vs Cleveland Cavaliers @ Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse

The Cleveland Cavaliers have exceeded expectations by going 9-5, including consecutive wins over Detroit and Boston.

They are looking to score back-to-back wins against the Celtics after winning 91-89 in a thriller. With four wins from their last five games, and the only loss coming to the Knicks by three points, they’re moving in the right direction.

The same can’t be said for the Celtics, who are struggling at 6-7. There doesn’t appear to be much team chemistry, and without Jaylen Brown in the team with a hamstring injury, they’re weakened.

Cleveland is without Kevin Love and Lauri Markkanen, but the young team is playing with confidence. Darius Garland leads the team with just 16.8 points per game, so the offensive production is being spread around.

We can’t put our faith in the Celtics with their troubles. The respect is there for Jayson Tatum, but putting this team on his back is tough, so we’ll go with the more stress-free bet and take the Cavaliers at home.

Denver Nuggets vs Dallas Mavericks @ American Airlines Center

Two form teams battle on Tuesday as the Mavericks look to improve to 6-1 at home against the Denver Nuggets.

Dallas suffered a 117-107 loss to Chicago last week, but bounced back with a 123-109 win over San Antonio on the road. Getting back to American Airlines Center will do its chances plenty of good, as the last time the Mavericks were there, they scored a 108-92 win.

Denver has scored four wins on the bounce, including a 105-96 win over Atlanta and a 113-96 win over Miami. Drama has surrounded Nikola Jokic, but the All-Star centre is playing outstanding basketball. He averages 25.1 points per game, so the Mavericks need to slow him down.

However, the Mavericks have Luka Doncic and he has been lights out. The point guard averages the same as Jokic, and he has already made some incredible game-winning shots.

The Nuggets are only 2-3 on the road, which is the biggest concern. The home record of the Mavericks might be too much for the Nuggets to handle, so we’re riding the hot home team.

Phoenix Suns vs Minnesota Timberwolves @ Target Center

After a slow start to the season, the Phoenix Suns have rattled off five consecutive victories.

They scored wins over Houston, Atlanta, Sacramento, Portland and Memphis. Two of those wins came on the road, so the Suns are in a good position to improve to 9-3.

They face the Minnesota Timberwolves, who have lost four of their last five games. The Wolves have played their last four games on the road, which included a 107-83 win against the Lakers at STAPLES Center.

A 27-point loss to the Clippers didn’t do their confidence any good, and with a 2-5 home record, playing at Target Center might not be a huge positive.

Anthony Edwards, D’Angelo Russell and Karl-Anthony Towns are good enough to beat any team, and they’ll start clicking eventually.

The Suns could be vulnerable on the road and punters should get value odds for the home team.
