With the English Super League season well underway we take a break in the schedule for round 4 of the Challenge Cup competition – the oldest knockout tournament in the history of both codes.

Wigan took home the silverware last year following their 18 – 8 defeat of the Warrington Wolves at Wembley.

6:00am St Helens vs Leeds Rhinos @ Totally Wicked Stadium, St Helens

Just when you think you’re getting a good understanding of where teams are at in 2025 you get a curveball thrown at you in round 4.

St Helens who have been red-hot to start the year were humbled at home by Hull KR who remain undefeated – while Leeds failed to register a point in wet conditions at Perpignan.

St Helens have won their last four meetings with Leeds and beat them at Headingly in the Challenge Cup last year.

I think Saints will be right up for this one following last weekend’s loss at home to Hull.

6:00am Hull KR vs Oldham @ Craven Park, Hull

Hull KR have continued to impress this early in the season with a statement win over St Helens last weekend.

Oldham currently sit in sixth place in the Championship competition after being promoted from League 1 last year.

Hull KR are 40.5 point favourites and will put on some points but I’m worried they’ll take their foot off the gas in the second half with bigger fish to fry in the coming weeks.

The Rovers will be too strong here but I’m doubtful they can cover.
