Thursday 19/6/25
We were prepared to give Essendon a chance last week, but the Bombers were extremely disappointing when losing heavily to Geelong.
It was a bad showing, and although Fremantle isn’t as strong as Geelong, we’re backing the Dockers to win and cover the spread against an inexperienced Essendon.
Being on the quick turnaround won’t help Essendon, so take the home team to score a convincing win.

Friday 20/6/25
Geelong comes off an impressive win over Essendon, and although Brisbane is a much stiffer test, they should prevail at home.
The Cats and Lions are in the top four, so it’s an important game, and Geelong have looked stronger so far compared to the defending champions.
Covering a –14.5 line isn’t easy against quality teams, but Geelong showed off their arsenal last week and that could continue.

Backing the North Melbourne Kangaroos over the last two weeks have been a positive ROI, and we’re happy to follow them this week.
Playing Carlton comes with new challenges, but there is hope with the Kangaroos, and now is the best time to jump on the bandwagon.
Confidence levels are high, and they’re good enough to keep it close.

Port Adelaide is turning things around with back-to-back wins, and next up is Sydney, which is struggling more than most AFL teams.
The Power gets the advantage of playing at home, and after beating Melbourne 93-68 last week, they shouldn’t be too worried by the Swans, who comes off a bye having beaten the lowly Richmond Tigers.
If Port plays near its best, it should cover the spread and continue its march for a finals spot.

Collingwood is the best team in the AFL currently, and the Magpies should fancy their chances of piling on the points against St Kilda.
Not much has gone right for the Saints, who sit in 14th spot, and they should be easily accounted for by the Magpies, who continue to exert their class. They have shown no signs of slowing down, hence the –30.5 line.
It’s not easy to cover a line that big but look for Collingwood to jump on St Kilda early and put them away.

Sunday 22/6/25
It’s tough to know what the Giants and SUNS will produce week-to-week, but our money is with GWS on Sunday.
It played well enough last week to suggest that it can keep winning, and falling to seventh on the AFL ladder should see them play with more desperation.
Gold Coast can be suspect on the road, so take the home side.

One team that doesn’t mind covering big spreads against poor teams are the Bulldogs, who defeated the Saints 132-60 last week.
That was an easy victory, and playing against the Tigers should result in another easy victory, with the Tigers coming off an 80-36 loss to Sydney. That’s a terrible form guide, so punters should expect a big win from the home side.
They’re good enough to win by 55-60 points.
