Chaos continues to reign in the Premier League, with Manchester United currently finding themselves in the relegation zone and Manchester City having lost three on the spin.

Problems also mount for Liverpool and Chelsea, who lack consistency, presenting Arsenal with a six point lead at the top of the table.

Brighton, Brentford and Bournemouth continue to prove their mettle at this level, while Everton are punching above their weight once again under David Moyes.

Crystal Palace and Sunderland currently join United in the relegation zone, but they know they have time to turn their respective fortunes around.

Bournemouth have been one of the form sides in the Premier League so far this season and they take on Ipswich Town next. The Tractor Boys have been going pretty well under Gary O’Neill and have survival firmly in their sights but games such as this are always tough. The Cherries will come and play here in Suffolk, and they will be eager to control the midfield and dominate the game. Provided they can do that, Bournemouth should prevail in this one.

Liverpool will be eager to bounce back from two losses in a week, as they travel to Crystal Palace. The Eagles are in the bottom three and look set for a difficult campaign, but they have also had to navigate European football this term. They will be hoping the tide can turn here, as they welcome Liverpool, who fell short against Arsenal and Fenerbahce in recent days. Palace should have a real crack here, especially in front of their home fans but Liverpool should find a way to come through.

Things threatened to turn toxic for Sunderland over the past week and they will need a response here against Chelsea. The Black Cats lost out to Dinamo Zagreb in Europe and Coventry in the Premier League, causing ructions in the camp on Tyneside. Next up is a meeting with Chelsea, who have been very inconsistent under Xabi Alonso so far this term. It does feel as if this one is pivotal for both sides, but Chelsea should have too much about them here.

Two of the great entertainers in the Premier League meet here, as Brighton and Brentford clash down on the south coast. Brighton are being talked about as potential title challengers to Arsenal and thus far, the Seagulls do look to be the most consistent side other than the Gunners. Brentford meanwhile are a side with limitless capacity and Keith Andrews has his side firing. All three results are in play here, but Brighton should get it done at home.

Villa should be up for this challenge but do come into it off a chastening visit to Barcelona in the Champions League. United should have a touch of momentum after their midweek comeback and they could just edge this one.
