2024 Hero World Challenge Tips & Predictions

We have expert betting tips for Hero World Challenge this week, which features a select but stellar field of PGA Tour stars, headlined by the return of Scottie Scheffler.

Scheffler is the only player at single-figure odds, and next in golf betting markets is Justin Thomas and Ludvig Aberg, so it’s Scheffler’s tournament to lose.

We have our best Hero World Challenge betting predictions for the tournament, which tees off this week in the Bahamas.

Hero World Challenge Predictions

Hero World Challenge Winner – Scottie Scheffler

It’s not easy to win your first tournament back from holiday, but it’s also hard to pick against Scheffler winning the Hero World Challenge.

He is already having a great 2024, and although most of his wins came against limited fields, this is one of the smaller fields he has faced, so he could take advantage.

The world’s best golfer is a $3.20 chance to win, so bookmakers aren’t giving many other golfers a chance to win, but Scheffler could kick away for an easy victory in the Bahamas. He only needs his putter to work to beat this field.

There are quality players in the field, but with it being such a small field, he won’t be far away from the lead and within striking distances throughout the tournament.

Bet: Scottie Scheffler @ $3.20

Hero World Challenge Next Best – Ludvig Aberg

It was a rough return from injury for Ludvig Aberg, who didn’t fire in the opening round at the RSM Classic. However, we loved the way he played on the weekend.

The Swedish star finished with a –6 final round to improve to T17, and finishing just six shots behind first-time winner Maverick McNealy was a better effort than it looks. He started horribly, which was to be expected after returning from injury.

With that tournament under his belt, it’s time for Aberg to show his best. He’s on the second line of betting at $12.00, alongside Thomas, and we think he’s a much better winning hope than Thomas, who played very averagely in 2024.

Bet: Ludvig Aberg @ $12.00

Hero World Challenge Best Value – Tom Kim

Tom Kim is an incredible player for such a young golfer, and we’re not leaving him out of our Hero Challenge selections.

He’s a 12-time winner around the world, including a three-time winner on the PGA Tour. He took out the Wydham Championship and two Shriner’s Children’s Open titles, so he knows how to beat some of the best players on tour.

He hasn’t won in 2024, which is a letdown, but he’s good enough to beat a limited field this week. Therefore, we’re taking the $21.00 odds available for Kim to win.

Bet: Tom Kim @ $21.00

Hero World Challenge 1st Round Leader – Patrick Cantlay

Another player overdue a good performance is Patrick Cantlay, who hasn’t won on the PGA Tour since winning the BMW Championship in 2022.

The two-year winning absence is quite shocking for a player who won six titles in a three-year span, so he needs to figure some things out approaching the 2025 season.

However, Cantlay is a class player at his best, and he could see the Hero World Challenge as a chance to return to his best form. He’s our pick to lead after the first round, which pays a healthy $12.00, so there has been some betting support.

Cantlay is worth including in picks for win and first round leader.

Bet: Patrick Cantlay @ $12.00
