The American Express Golf Tips & Predictions

The American Express Best Bet – Justin Thomas

Thomas has been threatening to win a PGA Tour tournament for a long time now, and without the world’s best players in the field, he won’t get a better chance.

The American was once one of the best players in the world, but a winless drought has hit the major winner at the wrong time. However, his recent form has been solid enough to suggest he could win The American Express.

He finished T26 at The Sentry in Hawaii, which followed a third-place finish at Tiger Woods’ Hero World Challenge, where he finished seven shots behind Scottie Scheffler. There is no Scheffler in the field this week, and he could take advantage.

Punters get $13.00 for the tournament favourite.

Bet: Justin Thomas @ $13.00

The American Express Best Value – Cameron Young

Cameron Young has yet to win a PGA Tour tournament, despite winning Rookie of the Year. However, we predict him winning at least once in 2025.

The American has played his best golf at the majors, when recording multiple top 10 finishes. He needs to take that form and play better every week on the PGA Tour, but much like Thomas, he should appreciate the slightly easier field.

Young is a player easily good enough to win The American Express, and getting $36.00 makes him a must-have with golf predictions.

Bet: Cameron Young @ $36.00

The American Express Next Best – Sepp Straka

We often back Sepp Straka, and the 31-year-old Austrian is worth following in The American Express.

He has experience contesting top tournaments, including finishing T2 at the 2023 Open Championship and T7 in the 2023 PGA Championship. Those performances are tough to look past, and he’s a two-time PGA Tour winner.

He won the 2022 Honda Classic and 2023 John Deere Classic, and he also lost two tournaments via playoff in 2022. He could easily be a four-time winner on the Tour, so getting $56.00 for Straka in The American Express is too good to overlook.

Bet: Sepp Straka @ $56.00

The American Express Top 20 – Max Greyserman

There has been steady money for Max Greyserman, which has made up stand up and take notice.

He finished T24 at The Sentry after shooting only –1 in the final round. Greyserman would have been disappointed with how he closed out that tournament, but he could make amends at The American Express this week.

The 29-year-old is only in his second year on the PGA Tour, but he showed his potential when posting a T21 finish at the U.S. Open. That’s a good performance, and we’re not surprised by the money coming for him throughout the week.

Punters get $2.60 for Greyserman to post a top 20 finish at The American Express, and he’s worth including in golf multis.

Bet: Max Greyserman @ $2.60
