The Sentry Tips & Predictions

The Sentry Best Bet – Collin Morikawa

It was surprising that Morikawa didn’t win a tournament in 2024, but he could start 2025 with a stellar victory in The Sentry.

The American is a two-time major winner, so he’s a classy golfer, and he performed highly throughout the 2024. He finished close behind Scottie Scheffler at The Masters before going close again at the PGA Championship.

He finished in the top 20 in all four majors, which isn’t easy to do, and he should enjoy conditions in Hawaii this week. He’s still one of the best iron strikers on the PGA Tour, which is often needed in windy conditions.

He’s on the second line of betting at $11.00, and we priced him around $8.00, so punters get value odds for our top chance.

Bet: Collin Morikawa @ $11.00

The Sentry Best Value – Patrick Cantlay

Much like Morikawa, pressure is on Patrick Cantlay to win golf tournaments after going winless in 2023 and 2024.

After winning three times in 2021 and winning the 2022 BMW Championship, most believed Cantlay would continue his rise up the rankings. However, he hasn’t played his best golf for the last two weeks, so he needs to recapture his best.

He also had a good 2024 at the majors, finishing T3 at the U.S. Open and T22 at The Masters. The ability is still there, and getting off to a fast start at The Sentry could be enough to see his confidence levels rise.

Punters get $19.00 for Cantlay to win, and he’s a good bet at that price.

Bet: Patrick Cantlay @ $19.00

The Sentry Next Best – Tony Finau

Tony Finau often plays well in Hawaii, and although he hasn’t won in the state, that has every chance of changing this week.

The 35-year-old American is a six-time PGA Tour winner, with his latest win coming at the 2023 Mexico Open, so he’s another player who failed to win a tournament in 2024. However, he was always close and he finished T3 at the U.S. Open.

A no fuss player, Finau will go about his business, and he’s often near the top of the leaderboard from the outset. If he plays well on Thursday, punters should expect to see him hang around the top 5-10 throughout the tournament.

The $26.00 odds are generous from bookmakers, so he’s a good player to include in golf picks.

Bet: Tony Finau @ $26.00

The Sentry Best Roughie – Alex Noren

Alex Noren has yet to win on the PGA Tour, having lost the 2018 Farmers Insurance Open in a playoff to Jason. However, he’s a prolific European Tour winner with class on his side.

He is a 10-time winner in Europe, including the 2017 BMW PGA Championship and 2016 British Masters. He’s still a quality player and he doesn’t need to improve too much to win The Sentry.

We believe backing him on a consistent basis will reap rewards at some stage, and considering the $51.00 odds, it will be worth it when he wins.

Bet: Alex Noren @ $51.00
