First race in 20h 6m A heavy track threatens to derail another Queensland race meeting, but we’re hoping this one goes ahead. There are seven races for punters to bet into on Wednesday, and we’re looking at horses with heavy track form.
Race 1. (14:43) Gallopers Sports Club BM70 (1000m)
#3 - Boss Mode

Boss Mode has a win and a second placing on soft tracks, and although yet to run on a heavy surface, he should handle it.
The Tony Gollan-trained gelding owns two wins and four placings from nine starts overall, and he’s good enough to cope with this small field.
Barrier three is ideal, and it should be right in the mix.
Stake: 1 Unit
Race 2. (15:18) Become a BRC Member Maiden (1200m)
#9 - Reconciliate

Looking to cap off consecutive placings is Reconciliate, who placed at Eagle Farm and Doomben, which are strong form guides.
The four-year-old mare is a four-time placegetter from nine starts overall, and it’s about time she broke maidens.
She should handle the wet conditions better than most, so she goes on top.
Stake: 1 Unit
Race 3. (15:53) Ladbrokes Spring Racing Carnival Maiden (1200m)
#8 - Budda Bar

Budda Bar was the beaten odds-on favourite at Doomben last start, but he could make amends on Wednesday.
The three-year-old gelding by Wild Ruler showed speed when running second on debut at Eagle Farm, and something close to that will be good enough.
Punters should expect another solid betting move.
Stake: 1.5 Units
Race 4. (16:28) Drinkwise 3YO Maiden (1400m)
#2 - Boots

Boots is fitter for three runs under his belt this preparation, and that fitness could be telling in heavy conditions.
The three-year-old colt looks to keep the hot run in Capitalist’s progeny, and this isn’t an overly strong maiden field.
Punters usually get value odds for him, so take the opening price.
Stake: 1 Unit
Race 5. (17:03) XXXX Gold C4 (1800m)
#2 - Prochester

Prochester is a former Kiwi runner who is having good success in Australia after posting back-to-back wins.
The five-year-old son of Proisir is unbeaten over the distance, and although yet to fire in heavy conditions, heavy tracks in NZ are a different beast.
These conditions will suit, and he could keep his winning run alive.
Stake: 2 Units
Race 6. (17:38) Sky Racing BM72 (1300m)
#9 - Aldolfito

The five-year-old gelding has been all around the mark this preparation, including a third placing at Gold Coast last time out.
He is a two-time winner on a soft track, so he shouldn’t mind the conditions, and this race is there for the taking.
Punters should get value odds due to the wide draw.
Stake: 1 Unit
Race 7. (18:15) More From Tote with Ladbrokes C1 (1400m)
#4 - Kokatahi

Kokatahi looks to cap off consecutive placings with a win, and it doesn’t need to improve much to beat this field.
The four-year-old son of Farnan was only a half-length behind the winner last time out, so it’s a good form guide.
Barrier 19 isn’t ideal, but he has time to find cover and sprint late.
Stake: 1 Unit
