Hawkesbury Tips for Tuesday, October 27th 2026Ended

The big stables are out in force at Hawkesbury on Tuesday for an eight-race card, and with a little bit of give in the track, it should suit most runners. The Ciaron Maher and John Sargent stables could be worth following throughout the day, in what is a massive week of racing in New South Wales.

Race 1. (13:15) HRC Motel Maiden (1100m)

#6 - Water City @ $4.20

BET NOW

Water City wasn’t far away on debut when running third at Hawkesbury, and the form out of that race has stacked up brilliantly.

It was won by Revolina, who remained unbeaten with a win at Randwick on Saturday against some smart types, and running second in that Hawkesbury race was Lions Eyes, who is also a nice type in the making.

$4.20 is a good price, so take the value in the opening race.

Stake: 2 Units

Race 2. (13:50) 10 Years of Racing Mates Maiden (1300m)

#7 - Romancastle @ $4.00

BET NOW

Romancastle ran well for second last time out at Goulburn after a long break, and she will only be better for the outing.

The four-year-old mare by Castelvecchio ran second behind Low Down, who is a nice type, so the form checks out well for maiden racing.

Ciaron Maher trains, and that adds to our confidence levels.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 3. (14:25) A Little Connection Goes a Long Way Maiden (1500m)

#1 - Classic Two @ $4.60

BET NOW

Classic Two is getting close to posting a win after four consecutive placings, and it’s about time he won a race.

The six-year-old son of Denman owns six placings from 15 starts overall, including a placing at his only attempt at Hawkesbury, which bodes well.

Reece Jones rides well, so the $4.60 is a good price.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 4. (15:05) Let's Talk Maiden (1800m)

#7 - Gold Cup @ $8.00

BET NOW

Kris Lees lines up Gold Cup, who wasn’t far away when fourth fresh up, and improvement is expected now.

The four-year-old mare by Super Seth owns three placings from six starts, and it won’t take her long to exit maiden grades.

Barrier four is ideal, and the $8 price is better than expected.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 5. (15:40) St Johns Bowling Club Midway BM64 (1800m)

#7 - Ivy Legend @ $9.50

BET NOW

Punters get value odds for Ivy Legend, who looked good when winning at Gosford earlier this preparation before going off the boil a touch.

The five-year-old mare by Savabeel ran last at Randwick last time out, but she placed at her only attempt at Hawkesbury, which should help her.

We’re giving her another chance given the odds.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 6. (16:20) You Are Not Alone Midway BM64 (1400m)

#3 - Superata @ $4.40

BET NOW

Looking to bounce back from a poor showing at Kembla Grange is Superata, who should enjoy being back at Hawkesbury.

The five-year-old son of Pierata won at Nowra two starts ago, which is a good form guide, and she is a past winner at Hawkesbury.

Getting the inside draw could be all she needs to beat this field, so take the each-way odds.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 7. (16:55) Racing Mates BBQ at Hawkesbury BM64 (1400m)

#4 - Mayleigh @ $3.20

BET NOW

John Sargent lines up Mayleigh, who won at Kembla Grange two back before running second at Kembla last time out.

The four-year-old mare by Exceedance hasn’t done much wrong throughout her career, and the Sargent stable has been heating up.

The inside draw is ideal, and she has been well-backed to score after opening at $5.

Stake: 1.5 Units

Race 8. (17:30) It's OK Not to be OK C1 (1100m)

#4 - Portico @ $7.00

BET NOW

Punters get each-way odds for Portico, who looks to cap off consecutive placings with a win.

The three-year-old colt by Exceed and Excel is a two-time placegetter at Hawkesbury, and he doesn’t need to improve much to win.

Barrier 12 isn’t ideal, but he will get back and finish off strongly.

Stake: 1 Unit
