Stadium: Optus Stadium
The Dockers host the Cats in the hopes of avoiding being eliminated after winning the minor premiership. AFL betting markets have Fremantle favoured to win, but there is some trepidation with the hosts, with Geelong coming to Perth with a full head of steam. It’s a do-or-die semi-final, and the pressure could get to the favourites.
Best Bet
Geelong +10.5 @ $1.90

We picked Fremantle last week but were wary of what happened to the Adelaide Crows last year, and the same could happen to the Dockers in 2026.
They were completely outplayed by Hawthorn 72-40, and it was a dour way to get their finals campaign underway. The wet conditions didn’t help, but that’s no excuse for that performance, and Geelong could capitalise.
The Cats had a few shaky moments early on, but they were dominant in sending Carlton packing with a 107-74 win. Scoring 107 points against Carlton is no easy feat, and we like how Geelong is trending in the AFL Finals.
They’re riding a winning streak, and the sour taste of losing last year’s Grand Final is enough motivation to score an upset win over Fremantle. Punters get a +10.5 start, and in what should be a close game, those points are valuable.
Same Game Multi
Geelong +10.5, Shannon Neale 2+ Goals, Patrick Dangerfield 2+ Goals, Total Points Under 172.5 @ $13.25

Two players who have lifted Geelong recently are Shannon Neale and Patrick Dangerfield, and they could make an impact again.
Neale scored two goals last week, making it 13 goals from his last five games. He’s playing well for the Cats, and the $1.92 for 2+ goals is a good price. Dangerfield had an amazing five-goal haul last week, and he’s paying a healthy $2.45 to kick 2+ goals. Those odds give our AFL SGM a big boost.
Fremantle could struggle on attack again after scoring 40 points last week. Under 172.5 is a good bet in the first semi-final.
Best Value Bet
Geelong @ $2.45

There is a lot of value in taking Geelong to win outright at $2.45, which is a good price from bookmakers.
It’s not easy to bet against Fremantle, but the signs weren’t good last week, and Geelong is the worst team they could have hoped to face this week.
It will be a high-pressure game, and as we saw last week, Fremantle’s lack of finals experience played against them. Look for Geelong to put the hammer down early and make Fremantle doubt their ability.
