7:15pm Sydney Thunder vs Melbourne Renegades @ ENGIE Stadium
The Renegades have started better than most expected, including two wins from three matches.
That’s the same record as the Thunder through two weeks of competition, and that’s reflected in betting markets, with the Renegades at $1.82 to win.
It’s a tough game to open the week, but we’re taking Melbourne to prevail in a close finish.

7:15pm Adelaide Strikers vs Perth Scorchers @ Adelaide Oval
It has been a rough start for the Strikers, who have only one win from four matches, which isn’t good enough.
Life doesn’t get any easier against the Perth Scorchers, who have a 2-2 record, but they looked good winning their most recent match.
Something similar would be good enough to win, and punters get $1.84 odds.

4:00pm Hobart Hurricanes vs Sydney Sixers @ Ninja Stadium
The Sixers are unbeaten with four consecutive wins to start the season, and we don’t see their streak coming to an end on New Year’s Day.
They face the 2-1 Hurricanes who have looked good winning their last two, but we rate the Sixers much higher than the home side.
Getting $1.76 for the Sixers is too good to pass up.

7:15pm Brisbane Heat vs Melbourne Stars @ The Gabba
Things started with a hiss and a roar for the Heat, but after dropping their last two matches, they need to get back to winning form.
Luckily for the home side, they play the 0-5 Stars, who have quickly become the easy beats of the Big Bash League, and it’s sad to see.
We expect most BBL multis to include the Heat at $1.62.

7:15pm Melbourne Renegades vs Adelaide Strikers @ Marvel Stadium
Odds for this match will be determined following their first games of the week, but we expect the Renegades to perform best.
They have a renewed energy in the camp, and the Strikers haven’t been overly impressive, so playing on the road won’t help.
Punters should get around $1.68 for the Renegades.

6:05pm Sydney Sixers vs Brisbane Heat @ C.ex Coffs International Stadium
BBL fans get treated to a quality match on Friday between the table-topping Sixers and the dangerous Heat.
We expected a good start from Sydney, which has been excellent in posting four straight wins, and the Sixers could improve their record in Week 3.
Brisbane has been less impressive, but it has a good team, and despite our pick going with the Sixers, it should be a competitive match.

9:15pm Perth Scorchers vs Sydney Thunder @ Perth Stadium
Perth is always tough to beat at home, and the Scorchers should account for the visiting Thunder on Friday night.
It hasn’t been the best start for the defending champions, but we have a feeling they’re building up nicely, especially compared to the Thunder.
Odds should be with the Scorchers to win easily.

7:15pm Melbourne Stars vs Melbourne Renegades @ MCG
The Stars need a lot of luck and a winning streak to make the playoffs, and life doesn’t get much easier against the Renegades.
We have been much more impressed by the Renegades in the first two weeks, so we’re happy to include them in our picks against the winless Stars.
We would be happy with odds around $1.60.

7:15pm Hobart Hurricanes vs Adelaide Strikers @ Ninja Stadium
It could be a tough week for the Strikers, and we’re picking the Hurricanes to hand them another loss to close out the week on Sunday.
Hobart has looked good in recent matches, and the Hurricanes are always tough to beat with the help of home ground advantage.
Adelaide has yet to impress, so take the home side.
